Actually insane that ~40% of western men in my generation (GenZ) will NEVER have kids. Many of you will simply die childless. Genetic suicide. It ends with you

We talk to Dad all day. Some men’s souls are too great to be contained by lifetimes, his love for us too fierce to obey the ordinary laws of death.

Blind. They don't glorify him. They simply understand him. Anakin is relatable because the generation coming up now is in a similar position to him. They're told they're a force for change while also being spoken down to and demeaned by their elders. Theyre also told they're a problem by those elders who have allowed culture to decay for decades. On top of that, emotions like love become harder and harder to express due to the decline in social interaction. Anakin wasn't allowed to love. Anakin wasn't socialized. Anakin was told he was a problem and spoken to like he was untrustworthy while also being told he's the best guy they've got. I dont think most people want to be Anakin Skywalker. But I do think many young men relate to him and that's a cultural failure. Not their failure.
The glorification of Anakin Skywalker is what I dislike most about prequel fans and YouTubers like Star Wars Theory. It's as if they completely failed to understand anything George Lucas was trying to convey in the Prequel Trilogy. There is NOTHING good about what Anakin did.

Anakin is the disillusioned Millennial. The alienated Zoomer. A generation that sees the Republic as rotten, its institutions as hollow, and its promises as lies. We sympathize with Anakin. Not the Republic.

If you watched them young, the prequels, like the original trilogy before them, manage to lodge themselves into a part of the psyche that becomes fundamental to the inner imagination. It captures an essence of the pure unadulterated joy of childlike worlds, and the thrill of danger and death and longing and tragedy and heroism. It’s a beautiful thing, and growing older and seeing the flaws, the bad scripting, stilted acting, and janky cgi, doesn’t diminish it.
part of the reason genZ has such fondness for the prequels is, unencumbered by the pretentious retardation of chungus millenials and gen X, they correctly assess them as flawless kino, but beyond that, they were the last time big budget movies were good

One thing you notice about men in their twenties in this day and age is that the gap between the haves and the have nots has gotten massive. On one hand, you'll have the top 5% of guys like a Clav, some internet celeb, or guy who made it rich and looksmaxxed early. These guys are living the life, partying, meeting powerful people, getting with beautiful women, and so on. Then you have guys who are living at home, unemployed, no career prospects, and just chronically online complaining or attacking others living better than them. The latter is going to be in for quite a reckoning in their thirties.

one of the most humiliating things about corporate life is watching a grown man get scolded like a child in front of his coworkers. we’re all adults trying to make a living. you can correct someone’s mistakes without stripping them of their dignity.

Why the fuck would White men go to war to die for “their nation” when the state is importing foreigners daily into their country?

Men aren’t as motivated to work because it no longer gets them a good wife and children like it used to. Without a family to provide for they don’t see as much reason to work hard anymore.
Young men no longer have any attainable goals to work toward in life. Today’s women are unmarriageable, home prices are exorbitant, wages don’t cover the cost of living, travel destinations are overrun by third-world migrants. Escapism is all that men have left.

I think a lot of Gen Z men see ourselves in Anakin Skywalker. He's a young man who wants perfectly reasonable things, like recognition, heroism, a wife and children and the ability to protect those he loves. Yet he's constantly held back by a sclerotic political order which refuses to acknowledge its own problems. I guarantee you a lot of young conservative men today feel much the same way. We look around at institutions which seem incapable of solving anything and which tell us our natural aspirations are somehow problematic, while still implicitly expecting us to fulfil our societal obligations without offering much in return. Anakin is punished for his competence and is feared for his potential, and ultimately is driven towards the very evil he sought to defeat. Of course, his response is deeply flawed, and that's the tragedy, but there's a reason so many young men watch Revenge of the Sith and are drawn to it.

One of the dumbest fucking concepts I've ever heard is that raises are to keep up with inflation. This was by a large consulting firm to a board of directors. No dumb fucks, raises are to address employees becoming more knowledgeable and efficient at their jobs. Its supposed to be IN EXCESS of inflation.

The whole world is preparing for an apocalypse. Germany is advising households to stockpile food, drinking water, first aid kits and torches. They're also warning citizens about prolonged power outages. Hospitals are preparing for mass casualties. A military assessment has raised the Russian threat to a significant level. Japan has declared a state of emergency in cyberspace. Banks and public services are under attack. The French President has ordered emergency plans to protect critical infrastructure from drones. France has also started strengthening their nuclear arsenal for the first time in decades. Finland, Sweden and Poland have started restoring and testing bomb shelters. They have all increased their strategic reserves of wheat, barley and rye. Students and volunteers are being trained in civil defense programs. More than 2000 people have joined. It's Europe's largest civil defense drill since World War II. Russia is already destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Ukraine has warned their residents to prepare for the hardest winter in its history. Prolonged power outages and water disruptions are being discussed. The government is urging people to stockpile water and power banks. India's Prime Minister has issued a deadly warning to banks. He believes cyberterrorists are plotting to destroy India's financial system. The UK's Prime Minister has urged people to stock up on food and water. The Defence Secretary believes the UK may have only 1000 days to prepare for a major war. People have been urged to be prepared to make sacrifices for the country. The IRGC is threatening to cut undersea cables in the Strait of Hormuz. The entire Middle East could spend months without the Internet. Their economies could be completely destroyed. The U.S. military is preparing to sustain essential operations without water and fuel for 90 days. They fear civilian infrastructure and supply chains could be attacked in the coming months. The Strait of Hormuz is closed. Bab el Mandeb is also closed to Saudi. Food shortages are now inevitable. Millions of people are on the verge of starvation in the coming years. Governments have already started panicking. And there is no clear short or long term solution. Human civilization is under serious threat.
