In @BleacherReport’s Running Backs that teams must pursue a trade for right now: Saints veteran RB Alvin Kamara was listed as one with his destination trade spot being listed as the Giants. Kamara recently reworked his contract with the Saints, although he could be seen as more of their RB2 with Travis Etienne signed in the offseason. Kamara has once said that he’d rather retire than play anywhere else. The Giants also have 3 RB’s and 2 of them that were drafted in the last 2 drafts in Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy. Kamara is also 31 years old and coming off a season where he missed the final 6 games due to a knee injury. Back in the offseason and especially during free agency, the Giants potentially getting another RB came up with the Kenneth Walker speculation, and again around the draft with Jeremiyah Love, but neither happened and the Giants have stuck with their RB room as is. John Harbaugh does like to run the ball and he might not mind a back who can run and catch the ball like Kamara, but a trade for a 31-year-old might not seem like the biggest need for the Giants unless the Saints are just basically giving him away.

Along with Ahmaad Moses, the Giants also had a workout with veteran cornerback Sam Webb. Webb has been in the league since 2022 with the Raiders, Panthers and most recently, with the Browns. Webb started the 2025 season on the Titans practice squad before he got signed by Cleveland midseason. Webb appeared in 7 games and started in 2 for Cleveland and made 8 total tackles with a fumble recovery. The Giants head into training camp this week with 2 roster spots open, as they waived LB Cam Jones and DL C.J. Ravenell last week.
