Diversification of assets is one of the best methods of all time and this is for a good reason. Going all in on a single asset class is usually a mistake, it pays off once in a while but it’s typically an error. One of the reasons is psychology, for example if you see your asset class is down (X)% while Stocks sit at ATHs, it can make you annoyed. Being annoyed in the market often results in poor decision making, resulting in a loss of money. Diversification has been my best friend, while sure it doesn’t always result in the highest rate of return, it gives me a peace of mind, my portfolio is constantly +100% minimum YoY, and I work in PE full time. Too many young guys think they need to make it big quickly, life is a game of patience.

A huge mistake I see a lot of ambitious young guys make it that the see that they are so easily influenced by these gurus on the internet and they fall for the trap of how easy it is to achieve success and wealth. When in reality their whole perception of reality is warped. All these online money methods that every person selling a course pushes has been so overused. And it can still work, but it’s very very difficult. And regardless of what you’re doing you’re not going to magically start a business and make a million dollars with no experience, practical guidance, or money to start with. It just doesn’t happen, unless you’re massively lucky. And you don’t bet on that. Ask anybody who has “made it” and built a. haines from the ground up, they always grinded in a job, worked in sales, or worked for a business like they started. People underestimate the learning curve, and they don’t understand these things take years. You have to learn to sell, you have to build connection, develop a skillset, all while making money to feed yourself and hopefully save enough to invest in your business. It’s hard, and it’s when you have no experience you’re kinda aimlessly wandering trying to figure out everything as you go. But on the bright side, there’s never been a better time to do this. Go back 20-30 years and if you wanted to build a business and achieve financial freedom, it took decades and it was a slow build up. Now, if you consistently apply yourself, never stop learning, and take a few calculated risks, you can do really well in <5 years. That’s never happened before. You can start from nothing and after a few years of hard work be in your mid twenties which is an amazing thing and an opportunity that’s never existed until now. But unfortunately some people’s perceptions have been so warped they may dread that concept and they still latch onto the belief they can make a million bucks a year with prior experience when that’s overtly unrealistic. You can still make it and do anything anon, but just make sure your expectations are based on reality and not some marketing tactic to sell you a course

If your self worth is dependent on how much money you make in the markets then you will be very quickly disappointed once a dry period comes (it always does) it's more important to fall in love with the process rather then the result because that is the only thing you can control at the end of the day You make the money, not the other way around

I see so many people focused on what others are doing that they lose touch with their mission and purpose. Focus on your own lane, your own plans, and work on building something meaningful for yourself! Life is too short to worry about what others think or do.

Those who died yesterday had plans for this morning. Those who died this morning had plans for tonight. So whatever it is you want to do JUST DO IT. Don’t worry about what others will think or say. Their opinions are irrelevant ✍️
