I’ve ignored this for far too long, but it really feels like a lot of you use hijab-inspired secular accessorizing as a thinly veiled excuse to mock actual hijabi women. It’s gross, it’s not funny, and the bit is tired. Wrap it up and get it off my feed.

Lewy Body is diabolical. My aunt died of this disease and I had never heard of it. It manifests as a type of shizophrenia. She had nightmarish hallucinations. My understanding is that this is what Robin Williams had when he killed himself.
So sad to see anyone go this way and I'm praying no one else in my family ever gets it. RIP, Patrick.

Patrick Stewart was known as a paragon of virtue for playing Picard and Xavier, but his memorable turn as a ruthless white-supremacist ringleader in GREEN ROOM also remains some of his finest, most bone-chilling work. See it if you haven’t. RIP to a legend.

I thought I’d share an amusing anecdote that Marina Sirtis shared with me a few years ago when I met her (and Jonathan Frakes).
During the casting process for the final TNG film, Star Trek: Nemesis, the studio had its eyes on James Marsters (of Buffy fame) to play Praetor Shinzon, the younger clone of Patrick Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard.
However, Patrick had been lobbying hard for Tom Hardy and I believe (though I may be mistaken) that Patrick had the final say in the casting.
While trying to convince the cast that Hardy was the right choice, he showed Marina his pictures and kept insisting:
“Marina, he looks just like me in my youth!!!”
To which Marina replied:
“Patrick, please. You’ve never had those pouty lips and never will!!”
and Marina proceeded to push out her lips in the most ridiculous “Blue Steel” pose to imitate Tom Hardy’s lips.
