30 years of marriage. Thanks be to God! Jesus, we are yours. Hold us in your tender gaze. Teach us to love well and with heroic virtue. Keep our children and grandchildren close to you always. Plant us deeply so that generations will grow strong even as we fade.

Some things are beyond ridiculous-
We have used gofundme to supplement our income for 2.5 years, due to fluctuations in workers comp payment percentages, and a battle with two separate insurance companies.
My husband is permanently disabled. He will never work again.
In less than one day an able-bodied man, who has voluntarily chosen to impoverish himself, has raised half of what I’ve raised over the course of 2.5 years on Gofundme,
Absolutely shameful - I agonize every month when I have to ask for help. It’s embarrassing and a little bit of me dies inside, I am utterly mortified that this has gone on so long-
And this man, who could immediately change his life with the snap of a finger just chooses not to work.
Unbelievable, really.
It’s pretty common for true narcissists to refuse to work anything but their preferred jobs and use religion as a cover for their indulgence. Definitely a type.
He won’t get a job but he’ll take your money that you worked at a job to get. He wants you to pay for his phone that he uses to harass and lie about people online. NO. Emphatically. Short term get help from your parish. But asap get a job like every good man I know.

This was inexcusable. Even if you oppose the war, refusing to unequivocally denounce the IRGC and deflecting to attack the country you want to serve is inexcusable, disqualifying, and tells you all you need to know about this dark-triad Islamist plant.
Narcissism loves religion. It gets to be righteous. It gets to claim alliance with the perfection of God. It will be praised. It will be obeyed. It can abuse and be forgiven. All evil is inherently religious.
No surprise that a Dem would fixate on denying a person’s bodily autonomy. It’s a party feature to suppress the idea of informed consent. This is also the party of grooming women to believe that dismembering babies for industry profit is empowerment.
NEW U.S. SENATOR: “THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS MANDATE THOSE VACCINES”
“Your right to swing your fist ends where my face starts, right? And your right to choose not to get vaccinated ends where the breath that you're breathing out of your lungs is now going into my nostrils.”
“We have a responsibility to protect people from the unvaccinated.”
Will you comply?
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine handed the state of Ohio to the Democratic socialists and knew he was doing it. He built Acton’s platform for her. He let her hurt Ohioans years before this election. He was a fraud and liar, scheming while accepting conservative pro-life endorsements.

All I'm gonna say is if I--a Trump critic (and that's putting it mildly, I despise the man) could hold my nose and do what had to be done rather than vote for communists and Islamist sympathizers, then no one else to the right of Joe Biden has any damn excuse.
Like I said, it would be tough to measure how hard I can't stand Trump, and many in his administration, and his whole stupid populist movement, but I'm not suicidal or deranged.
I don’t think any true conservative woman changed her vote to Acton because of that commercial. We all know Acton is eyeballs deep in dirty corruption. She won because leftists voted and conservatives didn’t. I saw a very different line of people than I typically see at the polls

You would vote for a radically unfit candidate because someone played dirty politics? Thats wild. I don’t like Vivek, but I understand that all the candidates were dirty (Acton is deeply corrupted) and I’m voting for policies not feelings
Fulton Sheen would have decimated the patriarchy bros with one flourish of his cope and lashing of his tongue. He’d do it with a twinkle in his eye, but it would be a spark from a blazing fire. If you want to bless your marriage, read Sheen.

When you see something on the ballot asking for more school funding you must always vote no.
No matter what.
If you live in a town that fails in basic resource-management, do not reward them with a voter windfall.
Their inability to prioritize is actually an unwillingness to do so.

I love running because it is the most pure thing left in the world.
There is no hack. There is no back-alley trick. You get out the exact measure of what you put in, down to the last ragged heartbeat.
The only secret to running is to go out on the highway and run, and then wake up tomorrow and run some more.
I went to the gym earlier than usual and worked out with the retirees. The cardio machines were full and the free weight section sadly empty. Better to move than not, but this should be a both/and situation. Seniors need strength training more urgently than any demographic.

Ever read the Summa where Thomas discusses intuition, wisdom, and formed instinct as obviously superior to cerebrally relating to the faith and morality?
If not, sit this one out.
This is why tradism is perpetual exercise in cognitive dissonance. For one seeking a perfect human Church, a serious and honest study of Church history creates more practical problems than it solves. "Retvrn" doesn't solve the core difficulties

I'm a Church History and Theology professor.
If people would look up from their ideology and look back 5 minutes, 5 centuries, or 1500 years before VII, they would realize nothing has changed.
The Church was racked by schism after Chalcedon 🤷🏻♀️ VII turned out pretty well.
If you reject VII after study and prayer (and not just assimilating to trad hive mind), you’ll find yourself in the awkward position of having to reject all of Church history. Fidelity is harder because it requires that we make peace with God’s choice to make the Church human.
Wifely pro-tip: Buy a trifle dish. When your cake falls apart (and sometimes it will) arrange it in the bowl, cover it in whipped cream, and carry on. When your daughters get married, buy them a pretty trifle dish, too, and tell them why. It’s gonna be okay, Love. 💕

Normalize not being angry all the time. Normalize not performing outrage over every headline. Normalize recognizing that we’re living in one of the safest, healthiest, and most prosperous periods in human history.

Let’s bring this one back. And then add “professional lay Catholic podcasters” just for fun.
