why do JKR haters make it a point to call her "Joanne" in her posts? They're the only ones who do it, is Joanne an insult or something? What am I missing? It's very weird. Like they hate her guts but also want to be on a first name basis with her.
Replying to @jk_rowling @bindelj
You think this is a gotcha moment Joanne? @bindelj is a transphobic person abusing her position as a journalist. Using her platform to push her own ideology of anti trans behaviour calling it “news” when it isn’t.
This is not a person to be revered in any was. She has been shown to be verbally violent, and has threatened people. Maybe she should contact her source and seek mental help herself?
“lesbian yearner” would be an English phrase. I believe it’s in your name.
Remember when you could open up an app and it was largely unchanged from the day before, and you knew where everything was? It would stay that way for weeks or months until there’s like the random update and even then they only did a real UI overhaul every now and then? And then AI came along and now things are added or removed or hidden from view every day? Will the software people and the app designers ever care again about consistency or user familiarity? just when you think you’ll be an old person who understands technology bc you grew up with it. Well, the writing is on the wall people!
this is actually pretty easy. blackface is like putting on someone's skin. last i checked women aren't made of makeup. unless they're trying to access things for women, who cares?
Having been offline for about 12 hours I am no longer qualified to tweet about anything. I need a crash course on (insert story here) because all the facts have probably changed. (Evergreen)
I think it's more likely over time that a slight majority of people will decide that AI has consciousness than not. This will obviouly lead to bitter fighting over rights for AI. But can you imagine warring for decades, splintering our society apart and then we finally figure out what consciousness is and how to test for it and we find out AI was never conscious the entire time. How much of a anticlimactic twist would that be? How silly would we feel? Of course even with a test, at that point too many people would be too attached to their "conscious" AI that they wouldn't believe the test.
ultimately though, humans will have to just decide that AI is conscious or not. we won't be "discovering" that they are. it will have to be a decision. well, unless we get that test.
Remember, when breasts are used to sell cars, booze, video games, and male enjoyment, it's fine. But when they're used to feed a baby, it's offensive and sexual which is utterly horrific because it's actually just a woman Feeding her child.

PSA: Never use tap water with a neti pot because you could get a brain-eating amoeba. Distilled or sterile water only if you simply MUST pour water into your nasal passages.
I think about this from time to time and thought I'd pass it along just in case! I may save someone's life. I'll never know.
Hinsight is 20/20 but I'm thinking the Lindsay Clancy trial never should have been televised. In the age of social media and demented fandoms for killers, maybe we should be more cautious about who we thrust into the public eye and apparently, people's black hearts. I don't know any of the laws or rules about televising trials I'm just saying....
I’m not really seeing people castigating lone juror for strangling someone am I? This is truly one for the ages.
If you have to "sit with something" for a second that means a narrative in your head just exploded. It's the perfect time to learn and grow.
