been watching the AI agents narrative and i’m still cautious, but I can’t call it empty anymore
AI sector +54% in September, NEAR +183%. easy to dismiss as hype until you see x402 on Base already at 138M+ transactions and @opentensor subnets doing $28-50M+ annualized revenue from real customers
the catch is that half of these “agents” are still a memecoin with a chatbot on top and even when there’s real usage, it doesn’t automatically mean the token captures any of it

@Ondo started on Solana in January with 200+ assets and is now at 450+. Yesterday it plugged into @lifiprotocol, which puts Ondo stocks in 1000+ apps and wallets
Solana RWA went from ~$700M to $4.3B in a year. its share vs Ethereum jumped from 4.5% to 26%
but $ONDO is just a governance token. Ondo’s own risk disclosures say product growth doesn’t automatically benefit holders. meanwhile xStocks, Binance bStocks and Robinhood have all taken market share
if TVL and volume go up and the token doesn’t, who actually captures the value?

Solana memes are still sitting at ~$3B market cap, even though a lot of them are down 90%+ from their highs
Biggest ones right now:
• $TRUMP ~$470M
• $PENGU ~$470M
• $BONK ~$255M
• $WIF ~$200M
Hype has cooled a lot from the peak, but new coins keep launching and Solana liquidity is still deep. Most of the sector is dead tokens, so I wouldn’t call it healthy. I’m just surprised it’s still this big.
