I don't want to pile on to the Cambridge situation, but media coverage saying "plagiarism" are really missing the boat. There is pretty obvious fraud - literally claiming he did interviews that couldn't have happened and so on - in like every paper of his that I looked at. 1/4

I need the government to lock up criminals, defend the nation, build infrastructure, collect the bins, and a few other services - basic research etc. I’m not an anarchist or anything.
What I don’t need from the government is moral instruction. I don’t need them to tell me how to raise my kids. I don’t need them to nudge me into better dietary choices. I certainly don’t need them hamfistedly backdooring my devices to check I’m not doing anything they don’t like.
GTFO of my life, thank you. You’re not smarter than me, you aren’t qualified to manage me, please leave me alone.

Looking for a home for two cats!
Sadly, Zman died last week. And he left behind two adult Ocicats cats. The cats are young (est. 2-3 yrs old) and are neutered (both males), as well as having been well cared-for (shiny coats, good weight, etc.) As they are a bonded pair they must be kept together.
These cats are sweet and friendly, and I am sure they miss Zman. As a final tribute to Zman, it would be nice if someone would adopt them.
