Well im officially no longer a member of @unitetheunion a sector @Unite_Community that gave me a voice, to speak for the millions ensuring Universal Credit or Carers Allowance.. the hostile and toxic environment isn't worth it..

Unite have removed themselves from politics at Westminster. That needs to change. I’m backing @SimonDubbins67 for General Secretary.
Our Gen Sec should be involved with a Labour government pushing for an economic & industrial agenda that looks after workers and communities.
For anyone saying @UniteSharon has done things for @Unite_Community this was me last year, all Sharon has done is hinder Community. The Community campaigning 'arm' was already in place.. but we were passed all over excluded vote @SimonDubbins67 for inclusion of every sector!
Why won't @UniteSharon debate @SimonDubbins67 during this GS election of @unitetheunion? Members deserve this, many husting meetings took place, you sent EC members?
What an insult to the amazing work @Unite_Community do, and have done for the past nearly 15 years! We didn't need an 'arm' before you got elected! Previous National Chair speaking until last year @SimonDubbins67 for GS every sector including not excluded ✊🏼

We've built the trade union movement's first dedicated community & political campaigning arm: Unite for a Workers' Economy.
Since its launch, our community & retired members have led campaigns that deliver real results. Defending the Winter Fuel Payment forcing a govt u-turn.1/2
What's going on at the Executive Council @unitetheunion how members be removed from their roles by making false claims of someone retiring? Wonder why 🤔🤔 #unitegselections
So bad for our members in @unitetheunion when the current GS @UniteSharon will not debate @SimonDubbins67 didn't she do @LBC with @SteveT_Unite last election?
Brilliant! @SimonDubbins67 for Unite General Secretary 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
More lies! What investment? Cords, submit a bid to FG&P every year for a budget, I talk to them they tell me you have never met them once since becoming GS, You put community subs up for the carers, disabled unemployed sector?? When others were frozen? @SimonDubbins67 for GS
Working with our community members, we will continue to bring focus and clear goals to our work in the community. We have established for the first time dedicated budgets to deliver campaigns on issues that matter to our community members.

We need a massive change in @unitetheunion I was proud to represent as a @Unite_Community member speaking on Universal Credit and social injustice, everything is a battle now for members and RC's, @SimonDubbins67 can bring that change ✊🏼✊🏼
This absolutely rubbish! I've never known any campaign being launched for retired or @UniteCommunity1
We have launched and fully resourced Unite's first-ever Social Care Campaign, empowering retired members to campaign on the issues that matter most to them.

What Martin and our members, working jointly with sister unions, have achieved at Scunthorpe is nothing short of incredible.
Public ownership of steel must be followed by an energy strategy to secure jobs long term.
Investment? It took Unite Community 2 years to replace the previous NL, Shelia Coleman NW has not been replaced over 3 years now. Mary Sayer retired no replacement. Co-ordinators covering other roles, Political/ Education where actually have you invested? Not Community!
Our Retired & Community members have seen record levels of investment under my leadership, including the successful winter fuel campaign.
A promise made. A promise kept.

Our union must always show full solidarity with any union rep under attack. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. Solidarity with Richard at Southampton docks.

A Unite Community, PCS and @Dis_PPL_Protest event in Bristol today has seen brilliant speakers come together to discuss what a fair and supportive social security system should look like. #Welfare
Fran Heathcote, Angela Grant, Martin Cavanagh, Ellen Morrison and Andy Mitchell, have all spoken.
The claws are already out with the @unitetheunion General Secretary elections, odd it comes from paid organisers.. apparently in their 'own' time.. 🙄🤔
Less than 18 hours ago, the brave and dignified father of Henry Nowak appealed to the nation to not use his son’s death to create further division.
“We want to use Henry’s heartbreaking story to make change for the better. We do not want his death to create further division, hatred or tension.”
Nigel Farage clearly has different plans as he exploits that family’s unimaginable loss and pain to further his own political ambitions, and create more of the division his party is thriving on:
“I suggest the rest of us respond to this with pure, cold, rage.”
