An incredible feeling, knowing that the European Union believes in our work & and has decided to back my vision for the future of integrative neuroscience 🧠 Grateful beyond words to the collaborators & mentors who made this possible: here's to doing more science together! 🎉
NEWS: Exceptional early-career researchers awarded 2026 European Research Council Starting Grants Congratulations to Dr Andrea Luppi @OxPsychiatry, who will use the ERC Starting Grant to develop a new ‘functional coordinate system’ for the brain. medsci.ox.ac.uk/news/excepti…

The lab's first published paper is here and I could not be more excited!! If you're interested in proteomics, AI or both, it could be an interesting read. Congrats @anlijuncn for a great piece of work, and big shout out to our collaborators at @_neuroproteome and @biofinder_study
[1/7] Our work is now out in @NatureMedicine nature.com/articles/s41591-0… We developed a state-of-the-art AI-proteomics model for diagnosing multiple neurodegenerative diseases from blood plasma. See previous thread for a summary – but some updates in the published version described below. ProtAIDe-Dx now outperformed both classic machine learning models and even foundation models like TabPFN!

turns out there are many many different types of synapses, each with their own voltage dynamics and response properties (!) We dug into how synapse phenotype is associated with regional dynamics (awake rs-fMRI in mice) - see the publication and bratislav's tweeprint below:
