This satellite loops has so much going on. Some fires in Louisiana, honestly not sure what is (dirt? Idek, the currents are moving westward though) in the water but you can see it moving with the currents as the loop plays, then the outer bands from Hurricane Isaias!

All we had to do was get into field goal range, what a joke of a play call to end it. Unbelievable

That is the most obvious defensive pass interference I’ve seen in a very long time. That is horrible. HORRIBLE.

Time lapse of severe thunderstorms as they moved into Lancaster County around sunset yesterday. Time lapse taken from the southwest of these storms. Best structure that I’ve seen in a while!

I'm not sold on much, if any, #severewx S/W of the Lehigh Valley through tonight due to upper-level energy moving through NEPA and southern New England, but we'll see. High temps reach the low 90s this afternoon with dewpoints in the low 70s and heat indices near 100°F. #StayCool

1/3 I've seen too many posts over the weekend downplaying the impending #heatwave. Instead of getting caught up in exact high temps & whether or not numbers are record-tying, record-breaking, or come up just short, we should be focusing on the impacts..

On active weather days, it is important to use the "right" tools when forecasting. This is real time radar reflectivity from Pittsburgh, PA on the right side vs the 13Z HRRR composite reflectivity on the left for 12PM EDT.

Being able to use the @WxFront app on the desktop has been a game changer, you can easily compare the two to gauge how well(in this case the HRRR) a model is doing with morning/early afternoon convection.

This is important in determining the threat level, impacts, and effects of the expected severe weather later in the afternoon and into the evening hours. I love this app!
