🤗 So excited for @nadiacw to present our collaborative research at #DIS2023 ! In the paper we contribute towards fabulation as an approach for design futuring that foregrounds feminist commitments and more-than-human concerns 🔮🐛 👉dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/35636…
Tomorrow I will be presenting our paper on feminist and joyful fabulations, on behalf of my lovely co-authors @mljuul @howell_noura Vasiliki Tsaknaki @kareyhelms Tom Jenkins and Pedro Sanches. Please join! ❣️ last session tomorrow #DIS2023
Since ACM conferences have adopted the format of sitting in the cinema, waiting to watch the film you actually came for, of course we have a 30-second-trailer 📽️ Watch it here, and decide for yourself if you want to read on 😁: youtube.com/watch?v=EIYHnIz2…
Also, if you are intrigued about how we have continued our research on fabulation, by fabulating, check out our website for the "Nordic Fabulation Network", where we use fabulation as a method to explore futures of care in the Nordics: nordicfabulation.net/

In this new @Nordes_conf exploratory paper by @nadiacw and more of us, we provide a critical feminist analysis of fertility technologies relating human, animal and soil bodies, and begin to unpack how design might approach this space otherwise 🙋🐄🪱🌱 find link below 👇

Today we start the first chapter of the Nordic Fabulation Network, a workshop series exploring how *fabulation* can be used as a method to imagine care practices in the Nordics 🔮✨ Our 1st workshop is in the beautiful city of Umeå and the focus is “Concepts” and futures of care.
The workshop series is funded by @NordForsk and formed by design/tech/policy researchers across Sweden, Denmark and Norway: Pedro Sanches, Vasiliki Tsaknaki, Tom Jenkins, Laurens Boer, Jason Tucker and me 🪻 @umeauniversity @MalmoUniversity @AHO_Oslo @ITUkbh
