my small seaside town (Berkeley) has no murders or mysteries at all. and if we did have them, I wouldn’t tell you
I don’t know why people are still choosing to live in small, seaside towns. They’re always haunted. Or cursed. Or full of murder and mystery. Have we learned nothing?!

why does Nathan Fielder, the more famous and sex-symbolic of the two directors, not simply devour Lance Oppenheim?

contrapoints attempts to explain the finer points of political reasoning to the breakfast enjoyers
Replying to @ContraPoints
I want to help people interpret this tweet because many are struggling. When I say “worse than I thought” I’m proposing a counterfactual situation: what I expected Trump 2 to be. I was expecting Hitler. Trump 2 is very bad, but not Hitler bad. I therefore am massively relieved that it’s not Hitler bad. So, although it is bad, though millions have died (as expected), the situation is much less bad than my expectation of how bad it was going to be. The fact that my expectations of how bad it was going to be are worse than what it is, does not imply that what it is, is not bad. Merely that it is less bad than the counterfactual situation—that is, less bad than my expectations.

unsecured Obama servers
i've been monitoring a population of unsecured Ollama and llama.cpp servers on the open internet, using their public metrics endpoints, and observed a spike in model residency last night (maybe an automated scanning campaign)

You've just died, the 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you. ... how am I so powerful that I needed the entire Orion's Arm Terragen Sphere to kill me
