The battle is over: Computers are better drivers than humans.
Tesla has released new FSD (Supervised) safety data.
Miles per major collision:
• Teslas Driven With FSD (Supervised): 6,006,200
• Teslas Driven Manually (Active Safety Features): 2,031,221
• Teslas Driven Manually (No Active Safety Features): 845,915
• U.S. Average: 660,164
Total major collisions:
• Teslas with FSD (Supervised): 1,579
• Teslas driven manually with Active Safety: 17,775
• Teslas driven manually without Active Safety: 239
• U.S. average: 4,989,713
Total miles logged:
• Teslas with FSD (Supervised): 9,483,790,215
• Teslas driven manually with Active Safety: 36,104,958,020
• Teslas driven manually without Active Safety: 202,173,600
• U.S. drivers overall: 3,294,031,000,000
Tesla vehicles with FSD (Supervised) engaged experienced ~9x fewer major collisions than those driving without it on.
This is North America data across all road classes (highway and non-highway). The data reflects a rolling twelve-month aggregation of miles and collisions.

If high taxes and a big welfare state worked, France would be a utopia. The citizens would be dancing on the streets… instead they are the civil unrest capital of Europe.
On the flip side, Switzerland with its low tax, small state is peaceful, calm, affluent and secure.
Good Intentions don’t matter. Good outcomes do.
I worry that this is too much logic to prevail in an increasingly Dem populace.
The City of San Diego increased spending on homeless programs by 11X in the past ten years to $110M annually but homeless counts only got worse.
On enforcement, just 48 out of over 1,100 police contacts for illegal tent encampments resulted in an arraignment.
So with programs that don’t require a change in lifestyle and enforcement without meaningful consequences, it shouldn’t be a surprise that spending on homeless programs is increasing while outcomes are not improving.
Cities have a dual responsibility: 1) connect those that want help, with temporary assistance and 2) maintain clean and safe public spaces for everyone else.
Refusing help should not grant anyone the right to violate all other laws.
The good news is that help is available to those that want it. The bad news is that the city’s current approach is enabling the problem, rather than solving it.

OIL AND GAS ARE NOT "FOSSIL FUELS" THEY ARE RENEWABLE ENERGY, created by a geothermal reaction in the Earth's mantle:
'Abiogenic Deep Origin of Hydrocarbons and Oil and Gas Deposits Formation'
"The theory of the abiogenic deep origin of hydrocarbons recognizes that the petroleum is a primordial material of deep origin [Kutcherov, Krayushkin 2010]. This theory explains that hydrocarbon compounds generate in the asthenosphere of the Earth & migrate through the deep faults into the crust of the Earth. There they form oil & gas deposits in any kind of rock in any kind of the structural position (Fig. 1). Thus the accumulation of oil & gas is considered as a part of the natural process of the Earth’s outgrassing, responsible for creation of its hydrosphere, atmosphere & biosphere. Until recently the obstacle to accept the theory of the abyssal abiogenic origin of hydrocarbons was the lack of the reliable & reproducible experimental results confirming the possibility of the synthesis of complex hydrocarbon systems under the conditions of the asthenosphere of planet earth."

Tesla isn't selling cars. They're selling 24/7 drivers who will dutifully drive you whenever you want to go. Anyone night or day. Any distance, they're ready to go. It's a profound change in transportation.
I'm so sorry about Hope. Thirteen years growing up together is a bond like no other. If you'd ever like a place to keep her memory, we'd be honored to host a free tribute page for her at nextdog.cc/tribute. I did one for my dog Oso. It helps a bit.
Glad this issue is still getting attention! @PaloAltoNtwks

"Food insecurity" is a misleading term.
If you didn't know any better, you'd imagine it was associated with chronically missed meals.
The food insecure are actually considerably fatter!
Am I the only person who greatly prefers shows with actors I've never seen before?
Once I've seen them in a production, my brain remembers their previous role and I'm reminded their pretending.
French pension payouts are now higher than all workers salaries. This is the result of government unions. They learn to pillage the government.

$25 billion dollar fine is striking example of jury playing with monopoly money. Clear violation of 8th amendment:
"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."

Trump accounts are cool, but how about a NextDog page for every US dog? We're at 1.5 million. Send this to a dog lover.
