If high taxes and a big welfare state worked, France would be a utopia. The citizens would be dancing on the streets… instead they are the civil unrest capital of Europe.
On the flip side, Switzerland with its low tax, small state is peaceful, calm, affluent and secure.
Good Intentions don’t matter. Good outcomes do.

OIL AND GAS ARE NOT "FOSSIL FUELS" THEY ARE RENEWABLE ENERGY, created by a geothermal reaction in the Earth's mantle:
'Abiogenic Deep Origin of Hydrocarbons and Oil and Gas Deposits Formation'
"The theory of the abiogenic deep origin of hydrocarbons recognizes that the petroleum is a primordial material of deep origin [Kutcherov, Krayushkin 2010]. This theory explains that hydrocarbon compounds generate in the asthenosphere of the Earth & migrate through the deep faults into the crust of the Earth. There they form oil & gas deposits in any kind of rock in any kind of the structural position (Fig. 1). Thus the accumulation of oil & gas is considered as a part of the natural process of the Earth’s outgrassing, responsible for creation of its hydrosphere, atmosphere & biosphere. Until recently the obstacle to accept the theory of the abyssal abiogenic origin of hydrocarbons was the lack of the reliable & reproducible experimental results confirming the possibility of the synthesis of complex hydrocarbon systems under the conditions of the asthenosphere of planet earth."

"Food insecurity" is a misleading term.
If you didn't know any better, you'd imagine it was associated with chronically missed meals.
The food insecure are actually considerably fatter!

John Adams in 1776
His arguments against giving women, children, and poor men the right to vote:
"But why exclude Women? You will say, because their delicacy renders them unfit for practice and experience, in the great business of life, and the hardy enterprizes of war, as well as the arduous cares of State. Besides, their attention is so much engaged with the necessary nurture of their children, that nature has made them fittest for domestic cares.
But will not these reasons apply to others? Is it not equally true, that men in general in every society, who are wholly destitute of property, are also too little acquainted with public affairs to form a right judgment, and too dependent upon other men to have a will of their own? If this is a fact, if you give to every man, who has no property, a vote, will you not make a fine encouraging provision for corruption?
There will be no end of it. New claims will arise. Women will demand a vote. Lads from 12 to 21 will think their rights not enough attended to, and every man, who has not a farthing, will demand an equal voice with any other in all acts of State."

Letting everyone vote was a deadly mistake…
Many of the Founding Fathers warned against mass democracy. The uninformed masses and hordes of migrants simply vote for more benefits from the state. Several Western nations are now headed toward fiscal collapse, led by France.

There is nothing as permanent as a temporary government program. Example 001:
The income tax arrived in 1913 with a promise: temporary, modest, and aimed only at the very rich. The top rate sat at 7 percent on incomes above $500,000 (roughly $15 million today). Congress sold it as a surgical instrument to tax the rich. It became a chainsaw aimed at the middle class.
Within five years, wartime spending pushed the top rate to 77 percent. The "temporary" emergency became the permanent architecture of American fiscal life. Politicians discovered something intoxicating: taxing income is far easier than taxing visible property, because the government intercepts your earnings before you ever touch them. Withholding, introduced in 1943, perfected this sleight of hand. You never possessed the money, so you never felt its full absence.
Today the federal government collects $2.5 trillion annually through individual income taxes. The code runs to over 70,000 pages. Compliance costs Americans approximately $400 billion per year in accounting fees and lost productivity, producing nothing, building nothing, feeding no one.
Every dollar seized through taxation is a dollar diverted from capital formation, from investment decisions made by people with actual skin in the game, toward decisions made by politicians managing election cycles. Mises identified the calculation problem: the state has no price signals to guide spending, so it wastes on a structural scale no private actor could sustain.

One could say that Cornell is infantilizing its female students. President Michael Kotlikoff, following up on his maudlin video performance of Oct. 3, has just banned all fraternity social events for the remainder of the 2026-2027 academic year. Doing so is necessary, Kotlikoff said, to strengthen campus safety.
This measure is wildly overinclusive. The number of “sexual assaults” (we will merely bracket the term for the moment) that would have come out of the dozens of future frat gatherings is minute to non-existent. The more efficient measure would have been to let females evaluate the risk of attending, and if they decide the risk is too high, boycott the parties. Or don’t show up roaring drunk. Or don’t get into bed with a guy whom you have no deep relationship with. Or don’t get into bed with a guy at all, unless you are engaged or, god forbid, married.
But Kotlikoff is implicitly right about one thing: He is presiding over a bunch of helpless, nauseatingly self-pitying co-eds who eschew all personal agency and who thus appear to need Cornell’s intercession. Cornell’s females expect everyone other than themselves to safeguard them.

Western civilization was partially constructed by killing 2% of antisocial men per generation for a millennium
Eliminating evil from your population is how you create good
The top 1% earned 21% of the income and paid 38% of the income tax.
The bottom half earned 12% and paid 3%.
The top 10% carried 70% of the entire federal income tax. It can’t get any more progressive than this.
“Tax the rich” already happened. The rich are the tax base, and they still get told they don’t pay their fair share.
Which is why they’re now moving to expropriating wealth.

I’m sorry but I think the biggest evil our country has ever faced is Islam and its extremist followers and if we do nothing, I fear our country faces total destruction.
Every year, taxpayers fork over $100 billion to fund food stamps for the poor and needy. People are defrauding the system by selling their EBT cards for quick cash for things like drugs, alcohol, or to get their hair and nails done. They’re stealing from taxpayers like you and me, and it’s wrong.
🚨 1 can of Spam for $120.
Food stamps have become the new ATM for fraudsters as they partner with local businesses to commit the fraud as they trade SNAP cards like Pokémon cards on the streets.
Across America food stamp fraud is happening everywhere. It has become a billion dollar fraudulent industry as taxpayers fund the $100 billion program.
We caught a fraudster on the streets of Seattle as she attempted to buy a can of spam and sushi for $120 in a food stamp for cash exchange, it’s a billion dollar fraudulent scheme stealing from the poor and hungry. This is a must watch and is happening everywhere.
EXPOSE AND SHUT IT ALL DOWN.
