This past Friday, after I had an engagement (the engagement was staged in the East Rand), I drove home to visit family, and I was beyond shocked.
I can't stress this enough: GO VOTE on Wednesday.
Our homes & the spaces we grew up in have been left to rot and ruin.
Every street pole has multiple electioneering posters, but the parks are filthy or dilapidated; the roads are a smorgasbord of potholes; and what used to be open land where we played as kids is now littered with unsafe temporary structures.
Where is the urban planning?
Where is bylaw enforcement?

Africans who mismanaged their own countries are at the forefront of borderless Africa. Africa was never borderless before the Berlin Conference. Ancient Egypt had borders including Ethiopia, Mali, Ghana etc. The Berlin guys just caught us napping and rewrote their own borders as they see fit not because they weren't there to begin with.
Currently, each & every country has borders within, some have States and some Provinces within their own borders. If borders were a bad idea then these African countries shouldn't have established them after taking over from the Colonialists. I agree with the speaker that borders existed for donkeys years way before Rome and the Greeks. Babylon was a place with borders and people left their lands and borders to go trade there.
Let us not lie to ourselves and fix our own countries and forget this backward Pan Africanism of laziness. We can still be PAN within our respective countries. Africa as it stand is a disaster and South Africa is not a place to unite Africa.
Ghana is the 1st born out of colonialism so Africans must go and discuss it there.
