Free markets, free trade, free people.
How we can save money and jobs for both Canadians & Americans.

This is a good week to remember that a nation is the sum of its parts.
To fight for Canada, therefore, requires we fight for Canadians; the Windsor workers worried about losing auto jobs; the single moms paying a fortune for back-to-school supplies and lunches for kids; the young couple that still cannot afford a house or the families losing theirs to mortgage defaults; the 2.2 million people lined up food banks and all the others who work more and afford less and who are forgotten amid all the drama.
Every word we utter, every decision we make must protect their jobs, boost their wages and lower their living costs. Grand speeches, globe-trotting and grandstanding will not do that. Nor will small administrative tweaks wrapped in soaring rhetoric.
Let’s focus on what we control. Launch an Economic Action Plan that unblocks the 500 projects awaiting federal permits, cuts spending, red tape and taxes on work, energy, homebuilding, and investment and build up our leverage to fight for tariff-free trade.
The goal is an economy that makes more and costs less, with paycheques, not debt, so our people can fill their fridges and gas tanks without emptying their bank accounts; own homes and raise kids and retire in peace.
Let’s defend our sovereignty, our flag, our land, our water and, most important of all, our people.

Just finished a call with the Prime Minister to discuss the tariff escalation.
My message: release the text of the rejected agreement, recall Parliament, and adopt an emergency Economic Action Plan to save jobs and lower costs for our people.
The plan should scrap gas taxes until Canada Day, have zero capital gains tax on reinvesting in Canada, end the industrial carbon tax, green -light the 500 projects waiting for federal permits, and have ZERO sales tax on Canadian-made cars.
As the U.S. hikes tariffs, we must lower taxes for Canadians.
Let’s all fight for our workers, our businesses, and our country.

Conservatives are disappointed that the United States has chosen to impose further unjustified tariffs on Canada. They threaten the jobs and livelihoods of families right across our country.
Canadians must stand united to defend our country against these unfair attacks on our jobs and businesses. Canada cannot accept one-sided tariffs that will deindustrialize our country. Nor can we accept a bad deal. Instead, we must continue the fight for tariff-free trade. Later today, I will seek a call with the Prime Minister to discuss what we can do to fight for our workers, businesses, and economy. Conservatives will always put our country first.
Conservatives support action to protect Canadians and our industries targeted by these unfair U.S. tariffs.
We also need urgent economic reforms to restore growth, protect jobs and save our industry. That must include ending the industrial carbon tax, repealing anti-development laws, green lighting the 500 economic projects awaiting federal approval and major tax reforms to return investment to our country, reward work, and recharge our economy.
All Canadians must stand united for our workers, our businesses and our country.

Shocked to hear of the shooting at the Salsa on St. Clair Festival in Toronto.
Our prayers are with the families of the two individuals who passed away, and we hope for a full recovery for those injured.
May the police find the monster responsible for this innocent loss of life and bring them to justice.

Our Conservative team from Alberta’s capital region has 3 key priorities:
Affordability, affordability, affordability.
MPs @mpziad, @KerryDiotte, @billymorinECN, and @Jagsharan_Mahal are fighting so that all Canadians can live an affordable life.

Prime Minister, we don't need another photo op, or a higher industrial carbon tax that makes Canada’s energy sector less competitive.

Gunner Sebastian Halmagean told his dad just days ago that he wanted every young Canadian to know that serving in the Forces was the greatest calling.
He was a brave, patriotic Canadian who served our country alongside our allies in Latvia.
Canadians mourn this loss with his family, his fellow Canadian Forces colleagues, and all who knew him.
We will remember him.

On January 8, 2020, IRGC terrorists murdered 55 Canadians and 30 others who called Canada home by shooting down Flight PS752.
Six years later, we honour the 176 innocent lives lost, and we stand with their families, and with the Iranian people, in their fight for freedom against the tyrants in Tehran.

With all that is happening abroad, we need to put Canada First. Yet almost a year after becoming Prime Minister, and promising to diversify markets, Mark Carney has not gotten a single country to reduce a single tariff on Canada.
Instead, U.S. tariffs on Canada have doubled, and China and India have increased tariffs on our farmers and fish harvesters.
He promised to be a master negotiator. It's all counterfeit.
