Replying to @Rovers
A message to Lynsey Talbot, Head of Operations.
You told us at the last Fans Forum that the club has spent 'significantly' to attach a sleeve to the river and also buy a new device for the groundsman.
You said the device was PROVEN to help drainage.
You must resign.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday in Blackburn. Surely Tuesday's game should be postponed ahead of time to stop another wasted trip for away fans

🇬🇧🇷🇺 KING CHARLES ISSUES RARE WARNING TO PUTIN: BRITAIN & GERMANY “WILL BOLSTER EUROPE AGAINST RUSSIAN AGGRESSION”
A royal banquet isn’t usually where global fault lines are drawn.
But last night at Windsor Castle, King Charles turned a state dinner into a strategic message aimed straight at Moscow.
Standing beside German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Charles declared:
“The United Kingdom and Germany together stand with Ukraine and bolster Europe against the threat of further Russian aggression.”
It was a calibrated signal of Anglo-German unity at the exact moment Putin is accusing Europe of “undermining peace” and warning he’s “ready” for conflict if Kyiv doesn’t fold.
The timing matters:
- Putin just rejected amendments to a draft peace plan
- Russia is escalating rhetoric toward Europe
- UK officials dismissed Putin’s comments as “sabre-rattling”
Into that noise, Charles - normally above day-to-day geopolitics - issued a rare, direct warning.
Charles highlighted the German-British Bridging Battalion stationed in Minden - a symbol of how deeply the 2 countries’ defense cooperation now runs.
“A unique partnership at the heart of NATO.”
Meaning: The UK and Germany have fused parts of their militaries.
That matters when Putin is watching for cracks in the European front.
While Putin frames European unity as provocation, Charles framed it as necessity - in a moment designed to reinforce stability, not escalate.
The monarchy rarely comments on foreign threats.
So when Charles speaks this bluntly, it’s intentional.
There were lighter moments - jokes about German football dominance, nods to shared Christmas traditions brought to Britain by its own Germanic royals - but the core message was unmistakable:
London and Berlin are locking arms. Ukraine will not stand alone. And Europe will harden its defenses whether Putin likes it or not.
Germany's Steinmeier echoed:
“Side by side for a free, peaceful Europe. Side by side in support of Ukraine.”
A toast with crystal glasses - but the message clinked louder than the silverware.

The world's in a shit state with Trump in charge of the US. It's time the UK got closer to Europe again and deal with people with an ounce of integrity and intelligence about them. US citizens, what the hell have you done appointing such a buffoon?! You are better than Trump. 🇺🇲

That was coming. Dreadful performance tonight, to be honest. Ismael needs to change his approach at home. We're too easy to play against with 2 up top. Just picking us off.
Gudjohnsen should have scored there. Should be 1-0. No excuses for missing that with the goal at his mercy. Kind of sums up our half. #resilient
The ref and his assistants have been turgid so far. Shockingly poor, as usual. @EFL sorts your officials out. They're ruining the game!

Why a Break With Ukraine Would Be the Biggest Defeat in US History
If Ukraine walks away, the United States loses more than a partner. It loses the foundation of its power. American strength has never been based on weapons alone. What made the US a superpower was that other nations chose to align with it. Influence came from being the centre of a network of democracies that trusted Washington more than any rival.
A rupture with Ukraine would expose how fragile that network has become. Europe has already begun shifting its long term defense spending away from the US. Losing Ukraine would confirm that the United States is no longer the natural leader of the Western alliance. When partners stop depending on Washington, American power stops scaling. Its military remains large, but its reach shrinks.
The economic consequences follow immediately. Once Europe reorganizes its defense market around its own industry, American suppliers lose access to the richest democratic market in the world. Those contracts do not return. Neither does the leverage that comes from being indispensable.
The strategic cost is even clearer. Ukraine has been the most visible test of American commitment since nineteen forty five. If the US cannot hold that line, allies will conclude that Washington’s guarantees are conditional and unpredictable. They will design their own security strategies without the US at the centre. That is how superpowers lose status: partners stop believing, and the world recalculates.
Ukraine will continue fighting for survival. The United States will be left fighting for relevance. And losing that fight is far more damaging than losing any battlefield.
