One of my favourite projects to date. Ss loved learning about the different elements needed when creating a food truck. I enjoyed seeing their creative logos, slogans and menus. Ss had fun taking orders & practicing their money handling @Surrey_Schools #foodtrucks #sd36learn
During soft start Ss had the Lego out & were building & creating. A St came up to me & wanted 2 share what she had built. She explained “this is a person pulling cedar & another person carving a dug out canoe”. A reminder that Ss are always listening #sd36learn @Surrey_Schools
Today I am reminded of a parent @CindyPacker who is no longer earth side. She introduced @projectofheart to me 7 years ago 🧡. A st was inspired by @NicolaCampbel20 picture book “Shi-Shi-Etko” & wrote a haiku to honour the children & teachings #sd36learn @Surrey_Schools #heart
National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st & 2day we thought about the land, stories, traditions, culture, language & much more that has been lost. Division 7 hopes that our hearts for @projectofheart will help remind others to acknowledge & honour these teachings. #sd36learn
