Hey, @trevortombe! How can you sit next to Premier Smith and not correct her on her misrepresentations of the equalization system? You’ve literally written several academic papers debunking her claims. The Alberta government sends exactly ZERO dollars to Ottawa.
Some folks need to understand: Alberta sends a lot of our hard-earned money to Quebec for their programs, while our own schools, hospitals, and roads need to make sacrifices... Let me explain.

Regardless of the explanation, I respectfully disagree with gifting a sacred item to the head of the institution that was instrumental in committing Genocide of indigenous peoples on Turtle island. In nehiyaw (Cree) law you don’t put your individual ideas over the collective.
Chief Wilton Littlechild speaks about why he gifted @Pontifex with a headdress in Maskwacis. FULL INTERVIEW ON MY INSTA @ bmorinstories

It’s BEARY important to me that every child and youth in Canada knows that they can stand tall against discrimination of First Nations kids. Reconciliation is all of us!

An important read. We cannot afford to take steps backward in our efforts to create mutual understanding and respect for a better future. Please let @Sflecce know the inclusion of the Indigenous science framework needs to be reinstated.

Wilson and I are so honoured to have contributed in a small way to Resurgence. So happy to see it included here in the @CanadasHistory summer reading guide.

In less than two years, we’ve gone from “we’re all in this together” and “flatten the curve to support frontliners” to “it’s your duty to keep working and get sick/die for the economy.” COVID is the virus, but capitalism has always been the pandemic.
