Economist prof Thomas Schelling (U MD), Wall St. Journal, Feb 23, 2006.
He concluded "But the uncertainties are daunting... I'd buy insurance. I'd do it prudently, and without great alarm. Yet!"

This new study found a flaw in most econometric analyses of future damages from climate change. They used a different modelling approach that incorporates global economic interconnectedness, and found when you do this, projected damages are much greater than originally estimated.

Read the room, bro. It's Team Canada time, not "let's keep hating on Liberal and NDP leaders and voters" time 🇨🇦.
You're stuck in 2024 while we're all trying to survive 2025.
One country. One goal. Stronger Together.
These lying Liberals have been in government for 9 years.
Instead of approving and fast-tracking energy projects, they added roadblocks, shut projects down, and delayed them to death.
They are the problem. Common sense Conservatives will green-light energy projects so Canada can stand strong.

The techbro's overwhelming conceit is that nothing is a crime, so long as you do it with an app. Just as fintech is designed to be a bank that's exempt from banking regulations, the gig economy is meant to be a workplace that's exempt from labor law.

I knew there were a lot of fake accounts on this platform, but they are usually obvious. I had no idea how intricate and complex the ruse could be.

So let me get this straight. Governments have been funding fraudulent scientists for the last 50 years to create a fake crisis, which they have then ignored and failed take the required action to fix?
Lucky this genius 21 year old figured it all out for us.

Preach! Canada is consistently among the best countries in the world by all objective measures. It’s up to us to resist the liars and gaslighters and keep it that way.

🧵These four high-profile papers published over the last three months appear to challenge the notion that the global warming spike seen in 2023 marks the early stages of a (largely unexpected) acceleration in global mean surface temperatures predominantly caused by an aerosol termination shock👇

Enhanced weathering is a promising technology to permanently remove CO2 from the atmosphere, improve soil pH, agricultural yields, and reduce N2O emissions, but is challenging to verify.

Canada now has Dentacare and Pharmacare, lifted almost 100% boil water advisories, bent the carbon emissions curve while refunding us, $10/day childcare, lowest inflation rate and highest economic growth trajectory in the G7… but we want Trudeau out? You can’t make this shit up.

But who actually asked for it to be this way though? Trying to look things up now feels more challenging than ever before & I don’t understand why AI integration is becoming such a big thing when it really hasn’t proved to be all that helpful? Like whose demand are you supplying?

Is there a way to use “old Google”? I don’t want to generate an AI search and contribute to ecological devastation every time I look something up. And the info that’s shoved at the top is often incomplete or inaccurate. Can I opt out?
