interesting that Balde was brilliant but injured in 2024 and fit but terrible in 2026. what happened to him, man??? and yes I know he had a couple good chasedown blocks with his pace that’s STANDARD. his positional defending has eroded to nothing!

Cubarsi spent the entire game 1v1 against either Jude or Mbappe and was holding his own with little to no help from his team-mates. he definitely should have cleaned Camavinga out but it’s worth looking at why he had to run into that channel to cover in the first place.

Barcelona dominated the whole half, most of the game really, but were just blunt as hell up-front while Madrid took their chance and were gifted another goal by Gerard Martin. hats off to Pedri, Gordon and Cubarsi. everyone else was below par. hope Xavi Espart isn’t badly hurt.
