Democrats, Tuesday was historic and unforgettable. We took back America and defeated Trump. I urge you not to undermine that history making day by staying with Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jeffries. The Democratic party needs new leadership to move forward toward a better tomorrow

Thank fuck we live in Australia with a Labor government and MEDICARE! “My uncle spent 40 years as a high school teacher. Saved $250k in a modest nest egg. At 78, he developed dementia and needed memory care. The facility cost $8,500 a month. When his savings ran out after two and a half years, the social worker handed my cousin a stack of paperwork. She explained the rule: "Medicaid won't cover a single day until he has less than $2,000 in total liquid assets." He had to sell his car, cash out his remaining life insurance, and empty his checking account just to qualify for basic care. Forty years of discipline, erased down to two thousand dollars so he could die in a shared room. They don't let working class families leave a legacy. They make sure you die with zero before they hand you a safety net.” @jeremyct

BREAKING: George W. Bush's brother Neil just dropped a BOMB on MAGA by proudly announcing that he voted for James Talarico in the Texas Senate race. This just gave Republicans a flashing green light to vote blue... "I have never posted a political message on Facebook not wanting to offend friends whose views may be very different than mine. I'm breaking that tradition because I voted early today, and I voted for James Talarico for the United States Senate," Bush, the child of the late President George H.W. Bush wrote on Facebook. "My vote was motivated by two things: deep concern about Ken Paxton's record and genuine admiration for the character and principles I see in James Talarico," he continued. "I have been deeply troubled by Paxton's conduct as Texas Attorney General, particularly his decision to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election in other states in an effort to help Donald Trump remain in power. I believe that effort was an affront to our democratic institutions and the peaceful transfer of power. My concerns about his judgment and conduct are hardly mine alone. He was impeached by the Republican-controlled Texas House, although subsequently acquitted by the Texas Senate." "More broadly, I believe Donald Trump and those who have enabled him have done enormous damage to the Republican Party. I worry about a political culture in which loyalty to an individual takes precedence over loyalty to principle, and where those who hold power begin to believe they are no longer accountable." "But my vote today was about much more than opposition to Ken Paxton." "I've never met James Talarico, but I have been enormously impressed by the way he approaches complicated and controversial issues. He speaks with respect, seeks common ground, and seems genuinely interested in bringing people together rather than driving them apart. His faith appears to be a deeply rooted source of humility, compassion, and conviction rather than a political weapon." I see in him the qualities I admire most in public servants: integrity, civility, humility, and a willingness to listen to those with whom he disagrees. My impression is that he is a principled, pragmatic leader who understands that public office is a responsibility to serve, not an entitlement to power." "I have been a Republican for most of my life, and I still believe deeply in many traditional Republican principles. But character matters more than party affiliation. Our democracy depends on leaders who respect our institutions, tell the truth, accept accountability, and seek to unite rather than divide." "Today, I voted against a style of politics that I believe has damaged our country. More importantly, I voted for the kind of character and leadership I hope will help heal it," he concluded. Bravo, Mr. Bush! We commend you for speaking out boldly during these crucial midterm elections. Ken Paxton is a stone-cold crook who was impeached for bribery by his own party as state attorney general. He has zero interest in serving the people of Texas if he wins and will instead work to line his own pockets, accumulate personal power, and rubber-stamp Trump's destructive agenda. Meanwhile, James Talarico is a devout Christian who is committed to fighting for better healthcare, an end to pointless wars, livable wages, more housing construction to restore the American Dream, and banning Congressional stock trading. The Bush family still wields a great deal of influence in Texas, so this announcement is sure to cause political shockwaves. If you're a Republican who genuinely loves this country, it's time to cross the aisle and vote for James Talarico. Please ❤️ and share to thank Neil Bush!

How in the fuck do we live in a country where @AlboMP keeps banging on about the close and friendly ties Australia has with the USA when the LAST thing Australia should be doing is applauding ANY similarities with that cruel, debased, law-breaking orange cunt? #NewsCorpse

This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed. This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities. Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery. Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children. Abolish ICE.

David Shoebridge happens to be one of the finest, most decent, most principled politicians to set foot inside our federal parliament. There are some very sad, delusional rusted-ons galloping to Labor's predictable call-to-arms and suddenly finding fault with Shoebridge's wife's property or his sock color or whether he uses Colgate toothpaste or whether he spoke to the right journalist that one time. Your slavish devotion to the cult and lack of critical thinking shows you up, nobody else. You want action on climate change? A liveable planet? An end to billions of dollars wasted on AUKUS and forelock tugging to the USA? You want somebody - anybody - in federal parliament holding them to account? Then spend your time and energy focusing on the enemy, instead of wasting bullets on your own troops. .

The Whistleblower Who Caught Howard Lutnick Lying About Epstein Is Dead This is not a coincidence you are required to swallow. The cabal of billionaire pedophiles tied to Trump and Jeffrey Epstein is not going to be fully known until the complete, unredacted Epstein files are released. Simon Andriesz, the British banker who dug Howard Lutnick's initials out of the Epstein files and handed the mess to House Oversight, is dead. The webzine, The Banker, says suicide. He was 57. He had worked under Lutnick at a Cantor Fitzgerald company. He is the man who found the emails Lutnick would rather you forget. Andriesz searched the Justice Department's Epstein dump for "HWL," because Cantor people liked to hide behind initials. What he pulled out wrecked the story Lutnick had been selling: that he cut Epstein off in 2005 after one look at a massage table. The files showed otherwise. A 2012 lunch on Little St. James with Lutnick's wife and children. Business overlap on a startup called Adfin. Epstein emailing the HWL account in 2018 to ask what he thought of the company's prospects. Lutnick told Congress that, to the best of his knowledge, he only learned this year that Epstein had been an investor. The Commerce Department's line was that there was no evidence of wrongdoing. Andriesz's finding was that the commerce secretary had been lying about a child sex trafficker he stayed in business with. A man exposes a sitting commerce secretary's lies and buried dealings with Jeffrey Epstein, the secretary is forced to walk back his own timeline, and weeks later the whistleblower is dead and the official explanation is suicide. Draw your own conclusion. Just don't pretend the pattern is subtle. @maddenifico

Netanyahu called the scores of delegates who walked out on his speech at the UN "cowards." A coward would be the leader of a country that has killed 74K innocent civilians, including 21K children, In Gaza and West Bank.

AUKUS ended. Bases sent packing. ANZUS terminated.
Apparently Trump doesn’t need Australia’s help, so we should cancel AUKUS, and send the Yanks packing…

Ed Sheeran chose the payday. Others chose their principles. Macklemore spoke. Aaron Rowe walked. Lukas Graham walked. Finneas walked. Beoga, his own touring band, walked. They put principle before money, exposure and stadium crowds. Massive respect to every one of them.

Artists, actors and athletes as well as their industries which are three of the most globally influential, need only do one, simple thing. Be consistent in applying human rights. Sadly, Ed Sheeran is the opposite. Quick to advocate for Ukrainian lives, rightly, then framing advocacy for Palestinian lives as ‘political.’ While in the latter case, framing silence as neutrality. Silencing human rights advocacy, including calls to prevent or end genocide, or allowing that advocacy to be silenced where Sheeran has direct influence and leverage, is not neutrality. It’s choosing which lives are important, and which are not. The only neutrality is to apply the same rules to all states, and all peoples, without exception. That’s all that artists, actors and global sport need to do. Which lives are at stake, should never make a difference.
