Imagine if Europe, in the days after 9/11, had cleared its throat and announced: We have struck a tremendous deal with Osama bin Laden. What a remarkable tribute to a former superpower.
Russia has more people, more territory, more nuclear weapons, and supposedly overwhelming military superiority.
And yet, after years of war and staggering Russian casualties, it still hasn't managed to conquer Ukraine.
Ukraine gave up the nuclear weapons on its territory under the Budapest Memorandum in exchange for security assurances. Russia then violated its commitment to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and borders.
And now you suggest that Zelenskyy should flee into exile while the aggressor gets rewarded with Ukrainian territory?
How convenient for Putin.
Apparently, Russia's greatest remaining military advantage isn't its army or its nuclear arsenal. It's Trump's willingness to accommodate the Kremlin.
Putin couldn't take Ukraine in three days. Now he's hoping Washington will help him get what Moscow couldn't win on the battlefield.
And you call that peace?
I call it rewarding aggression.
