Was he thrown into prison? NO. More recently, a Salafi YouTuber declared: “Islam is the only religion. Everything else is trash, paganism, and polytheism.” Imagine a Christian YouTuber declaring that Islam is a corrupt religion, that Muhammad was a false prophet, and that the Quran is nothing but religious garbage. How long would it take before someone filed a blasphemy complaint against him? THIS IS THE DOUBLE STANDARD. They tell you Egypt’s blasphemy laws protect Islam, Christianity, and Judaism equally. But look at who ends up behind bars. If Islam is the truth, why does it need prosecutors to defend it? If Muhammad was a prophet, why should questioning his claims be a criminal offense? If the Quran is the word of God, why should criticizing it land someone in prison? Truth does not need prison guards. Ideas that cannot survive criticism do not deserve legal immunity from it.
