ASPCA is not an "animal welfare" organization. They're "Animal Rights" extremists. Entirely different. Marxist, rad animal lib, swamp crawling money$uck activist scammers. No friends to the USA's #1 hog & #1 egg state. Nebulous "mill" epithet used same as "factory". Good 4 USDA!

Thank you so much for being on the right side up history, standing up to the @SpeakerMenin who corruptly bullied so many @NYCCouncil members into voting for the unconstitutional Intro 943-A bill & standing with the @TWULocal100 carriage drivers & their horses!
While I respect the intentions behind Int. 943-A, I voted NO on the horse carriage ban. I stand in solidarity with @TWULocal100 & the hardworking men and women whose livelihoods are at stake. We cannot overlook the workers and families who would be directly impacted by this leg.

Mayor #mamdani backed the bill, which will legislate the Central Park tourist carriages, on the job since the 1860s, out of existence in a phased withdrawal ending in June 2028. Some 380 creatures — 180 horses and 200 owners, drivers and stablehands — just got fired>☠️☠️☠️

.@GovKathyHochul OBVIOUSLY YOU ALSO SUPPORT THE HORSE CARRIAGE SCAM BAN. You're a CANCER ON THE WORKING CLASS HOCHUL
.@NYCCouncil put a whole propaganda video together showing Julie and the lobbyists + PETA cheering about the horses being sent to a kill pen. Holding up the picture of 1 person. Meanwhile THOUSANDS have been run over by ebikes and 22 DIED. .@POTUS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?????

40 people voted to take away the livelihood of people they're supposed to protect. There's a very bad stench in city hall....it needs to be throughly cleaned.

I missed that you voted against it! Thank you! It's so terrible you couldn't convince your colleagues to do the right thing & now it'll have to be taken to federal court!

Thank you, CM Riley. The bill is unconstitutional on its face. No matter how one feels about carriages, this bill offers no guarantees for workers, medallion owners, NOR the horses themselves, who face an uncertain, unfunded future.

Tiferet Lapidot would have turned 26 today. But Hamas terrorists murdered her at the Nova music festival during the October 7 massacre. May her memory forever be a blessing. 💔🕯️

There is a part of the COVID-19 pandemic we haven’t talked about nearly enough. The people who witnessed its worst moments, day after day, often with little time to process what they were experiencing. Nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, paramedics, nursing home staff, and countless others who cared for people struggling to breathe, watched patients deteriorate despite their best efforts, and sometimes stood beside people as they died without their families present. While much of the world experienced the pandemic through news reports, restrictions, statistics, and political arguments, these workers experienced it at the bedside. For some, those years left memories that have proved difficult to put behind them. And for some, the suffering they witnessed was only part of what made the experience so painful. This thread is about those people, what they endured, and what we might learn by listening to them.

Calling someone a "shill" isn't an argument. It's what people do when they can't challenge the evidence but desperately want to dismiss the person presenting it.

Natural doesn’t mean safe. Synthetic doesn’t mean dangerous. Detectable doesn’t mean harmful. Hazard doesn’t mean risk. And correlation doesn’t mean causation. That’s. The. Whole. Point. Of. Science.
