What a year for Avol. Closed our first contracts, launched medical delivery in 8 states, built 30+ aircraft, and raised an oversubscribed round led by @CultivationCap , @TimDraper with @yoheinakajima , @MorganSchwanke ,@C2cunningham, and others. We have some things in 2026 that we absolutely can't wait to show you guys. In 🇺🇸 you can just build things. Lfg.

This is so sad. The Mass Effect trilogy is one of the greatest game stories ever made.

Tesla now runs half of America’s public DC fast chargers with over 40,000 ports, while the $7.5B federal NEVI program had opened just 384 by April 2025. One company built the backbone of the national network with its own capital while the government spent billions and produced a rounding error. Private industry is still outpacing the mandate, and that gap isn’t narrowing anytime soon.

This is a freaking good idea.
Excited to introduce @Cosign: the curated professional network for the startup community: cosign.co Our goal is to create the following: - A comprehensive startup directory of investors, companies, and operators, including what they worked on and who they worked on it with. - Cosign graph: Who shaped your career? Who were you actually in the trenches with? Who would work with you again? Who thinks you’re someone to watch? - Durable reputation: Great endorsements happen every day on X and disappear into the feed. Cosign attaches those signals permanently to people and companies. - Discovery: Who are the best fintech angels? Which AI companies should I watch? Who are the best designers? - Intent network: Privately signal “I’d invest in them,” “I’d hire them,” “I’d work with them,” or eventually even “I’d acquire this company.” Match people when interest exists on both sides. Imagine if Wikipedia, LinkedIn, and OG AngelList had a baby. Though Cosign is a community, not a business. In order to join, you need to be cosigned. Or you can apply directly. David Booth and I started this idea 7 years ago but didn’t have the firepower to make it work. Now we do. No one has really touched LinkedIn in 20 years. Excited to take a swing. cosign.co

1) there are baby steps to progress and 2) cutting weight for a machine meant for sustained flight is actually really hard!
SpaceX doesn't catch the booster just for the optics, it does so to put it back on the launch pad immediately after landing, refuel it, and launch it again within a few hours. The Chinese system can't do this. Its only advantage is eliminating the mass of the landing gear from the rocket, thereby increasing payload capacity to orbit.

This is the only correct take on Artemis II.
Kid just SMOKED a CNN reporter outside of Artemis II launch: CNN: "Why do you want to be here?... Why do you love being a part of history? Kid: "We're going back to the f*cking moon, that's why!" 🤣

For anyone wondering what the Artemis II mission is in 48 hours, here's a diagram from @NASA. Not landing on the moon, but a massive scientific accomplishment nonetheless. Go Artemis go!

It's the most awesome vibe grinding work in the office with the music going and no one around.

We will see this bias occur in many, many places over the next 5 years, and not necessarily to society's benefit.

Grok estimates $55B to build pipeline bypassing Strait of Hormuz, breakeven in 2-3 years. Might be wrong, but would be cool to see any other analysis on (1) true breakeven time and (2) how to accelerate.
grok For ~21M bpd Hormuz volume over ~400km bypass (UAE-style): Capex: $45-55B (scaled from Habshan-Fujairah: $4B for 1.8M bpd). Pipe opex: ~$0.5/bbl. Avg tanker: $2.5/bbl freight + $0.3/bbl normal insurance (hull war risk ~0.25%; spikes to $20+/bbl in tensions). Net savings: ~$2.3/bbl → ~$17B/yr. Breakeven: 2.5-3 yrs. Pipeline far cheaper long-term, zero strait risk.

Founding a company rewards comfort in instability and immense pain tolerance. Very few things are certain about startups, but those two are.
Replying to @AnnieLiao_2000
Really bad sign if a YC rejection is all it takes to make a founder give up. My experience is founding is a whole series of rejections and gut punches, and I have to keep going anyway.

The fallacy is that people think you'll be able to see this coming as it gains critical mass. The event horizon will hit faster than people think. Starting investing in trade schools is a good thing we can start doing today.
Millions of office jobs will evaporate in the next 12 - 24 months. This will be an epic disaster for millions of workers and families. blog.andrewyang.com/p/the-en…
