Story time.
I worked for a bloxy indie shooter for greater china support.
The game went viral, hit a massive success. A couple days later, my DMs in QQ and discord flooded with people complaining about why they’re getting banned.
And the dev find me for an emergency call:
Instead of improving your Anti-Cheat System, You chose to ban Asian players.
What you should have been doing is strengthening your anti-cheat system. Instead, your solution was to simply shut Asian players out of the game.
My streamer friends and I discovered this game during its playtesting phase. We were thrilled to find a game that didn't strictly limit how many people could play together, allowing more than 10 of us to jump in and have fun. We had an absolute blast.
When cheaters started becoming a serious problem on Asian servers, we chose to escape to servers in other regions.
Technically, we had to endure over 200 ping just to play the game. Our opponents would always have the advantage of being able to shoot before we could even react.
Mentally, we had to endure racism and discrimination against Asian players.
The pattern was always the same:
We legitimately kill another player → They check our ping and realize we're playing from Asia → They immediately start shouting "Chinese cheater" in public chat.
And it doesn't stop there. There are always people who refuse to verify anything and immediately assume we're cheating, throwing insults, profanity, and personal attacks at us.
Despite all of this, we still chose to keep playing your game.
We endured the terrible ping, the discrimination, and the constant accusations. We even had to defend Asian players against these stereotypes ourselves, rather than simply giving up on the game.
Personally, I have plenty of criticisms about this game.
Your unreasonable progression system, weapon and vehicle balancing, anti-cheat measures, and even the recently released Season 2.
But we understood that this was still a game in development. We were willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, make excuses for the problems, and believe that things would eventually improve.
What we never expected was that after investing roughly 300–500 hours into your game, we would be betrayed so harshly by a decision like this.
We stuck around through the cheating problems, the high latency, the racism, and the game's many flaws because we genuinely enjoyed what you had created.
And this is how you choose to treat us.
Maybe we missed something in your promotional video, "Reasons NOT to Buy Our Game."
Perhaps one of those reasons should have been:
"Asian players are not welcome."

Introducing bookmark.gallery
X is now where designers share their work, so you bookmark hundreds of posts (I do too).
But you never look at them again, and can't find one when you need it.
bookmark.gallery turns your X bookmarks and likes into a beautiful, searchable gallery.
Finally, enjoy revisiting what you saved.

Guess why #buildinpublic does not work for video games?
Steal this clean UI blueprint:
- Use SF Pro in regular and medium with -0.15px letter spacing
- Keep type to 12px, 13px, 14px, and 24px
- Build hierarchy with #292929, #5D5D5D, and #9E9E9E
- Size icons at 14px for navigation and 20px for cards
- Use 8px navigation, 16px cards, and rounded pill CTA radii
Simple systems make polished products.

Aura workspace mobile will land this 👀
In 2007, Steve Jobs pinched a photo, and it zoomed.
The audience screamed like he had raised the dead.
Eighteen years later, your app still slides screens in from the right like a fax machine feeding paper.
It is not your fault.
The apps with award-winning motion, the ones where a thumbnail blooms into a full screen, have been SwiftUI territory for years.
React Native gave you the platform defaults and wished you luck.
𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻-𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 closes that gap. It is a transition toolkit for React Navigation, built on Reanimated and Gesture Handler, and v3.9 just landed.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱
➡️ 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: shared-element motion where a tapped card animates into the next screen, driven by actual measured layout, not hardcoded coordinates.
➡️ 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘇𝗼𝗼𝗺: the iOS-style photo-to-fullscreen expansion, with pinch, drag, and mask behaviour owned by the library and a small set of intensity controls exposed to you.
➡️ 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀: cards you drag, sheets that snap, with proper gesture ownership across nested ScrollViews.
➡️ 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗳𝗳: new in 3.9, a video player or map can physically move between screens mid-transition without remounting. The payload travels. The video keeps playing.
➡️ 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀: also new in 3.9, a motion resolver lets elements arc, rotate, and overshoot between screens instead of travelling in a straight line.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀
Transitions are the difference between an app that works and an app people show their friends. The gap between SwiftUI-style motion and what is practical in React Native keeps shrinking, and this library is a big part of why.
