Nik Storonsky sorts Revolut employees into 4 tiers ▫️ brilliant: they find the goal and reach it alone. "self-guided missiles" ▫️ good: give them the goal and they hit it ▫️ average: weekly iterations to get there ▫️ below average: most likely miss it anyway his rule: minimize management time per person. Asked if he fires the average ones: "I do, yes" Winning first. Empathy second. via @rheacts

Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky: “The US is not that competitive. Europe is even less competitive.” “China is competitive.” “China is 9/9/6. Even if you are good in Europe, or in the US, how can you out-compete the people who work 9:00 to 9:00, six days a week?” “I started in a co-working space with 140 companies. Within 5 years, only 3 companies survived. They all worked on the weekends.” “Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140.” “Working weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistically.”

It's OVER. The SEC and CFTC are done waiting for the CLARITY Act. Regulators have now made at least 9 moves to build crypto rules without Congress. 1. SEC Crypto Task Force - define what is and is not a security 2. Project Crypto - modernize SEC rules for onchain markets 3. SEC-CFTC crypto guidance - classify crypto assets into clearer categories 4. SEC-CFTC harmonization MOU - reduce overlap between the two agencies 5. Joint Harmonization Initiative - create shared rules for crypto firms 6. CFTC Innovation Task Force -speed up crypto and blockchain market rules. 7. CFTC crypto FAQs - clarify how registered firms can use blockchain 8. SEC Innovation Exemption - allow tokenized US stocks to trade onchain 9. CFTC proposed crypto market rule - create a formal framework for crypto asset markets Crypto may now move forward without CLARITY Act.

The opportunity for fintechs is no longer just to embed payments. It’s to build the financial relationship itself. Global Managed Accounts gives businesses the banking infrastructure to do exactly that, building neobank-style products around dedicated accounts, payments and financial services, with FV Bank powering the regulated foundation. 🔗 Explore Global Managed Accounts 🔽 blog.fvbank.us/global-manage…

Pleased to share that @fvbankus has joined @openstandard as a partner in the Open USD (OUSD) ecosystem. Stablecoins are becoming part of the infrastructure for moving and settling value globally. The next challenge is connecting that on-chain value to the banking, payments, and compliance infrastructure businesses already rely on. That’s where the opportunity is. We’re glad to support Open Standard and contribute to building the infrastructure that makes stablecoins more useful across the broader financial system. joinopenstandard.com/partner… #OpenUSD #OUSD #BankingTheFuture

I think after this will come Coinbase and then Kraken who would be looking for some M&A action in this space. Maybe circle as well :)
BREAKING: Visa looking for new stablecoin settlement partner after BVNK sale to Mastercard I think Visa’s search for a new stablecoin settlement partner shows where the real value in stablecoin infrastructure is moving. Mastercard acquired BVNK for up to $1.8 billion. Stripe bought Bridge for $1.1 billion. Visa now needs to replace BVNK and is reportedly looking for a partner that can provide settlement and OTC services with licences across the US, Canada, UK and Singapore. That licensing requirement is the part I find most interesting. There are many companies building stablecoin products. The pool gets much smaller when you need regulatory coverage across several major markets and the ability to settle at scale. I think this makes global licensing one of the most valuable assets in stablecoin infrastructure. Visa has launched its own Stablecoin Platform while relying on external infrastructure for parts of settlement. But after moves by Mastercard and Stripe, perhaps they will also look into an acquisition of some sort. For stablecoin startups, this changes what makes a company strategically valuable. A good API can be built relatively quickly. Getting regulated across the US, UK, Canada and Singapore takes years. That regulatory footprint is becoming a competitive advantage that the largest payment companies are willing to buy or partner for. I think we should expect a consolidation of the market in the next few years. Because at one point Coinbase was also interested in acquiring BVNK, and Mastercard weighted investment / acquition of Zerohash.

Every winter, India faces a grim, predictable reality: toxic smogs engulf cities, millions of students miss school, shop floors choke, and air pollution drives US$4.5-6.1 trillion, in global economic losses every single year (Source: World Bank). The global playbook for clean air has always been simple, expensive, and fundamentally flawed: buy plastic HEPA filter purifiers, replace them every 6 months, and throw tons of hazardous fiberglass waste into landfills. In 2017, Angad Daryani who built his first 3D printer at age 13, looked at this crisis during his sophomore year at Georgia Tech. He founded @Praan_inc with a radical moonshot question: What if we completely eliminate physical filters and treat clean air as a filterless, abundant utility? What They Are Doing..... - Praan is building the world’s most advanced, patented filter-less air purification and atmospheric AI stack. - Praan’s industrial-grade units pull in toxic air, charge particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10) in flight, and isolate them into dry collection trays without using a single HEPA filter. Zero recurring filter replacement costs, zero plastic filter waste, and near-zero maintenance. - Designed for real estate, homes, and offices, these units work silently as an integrated "clean air infrastructure" layer. - An AI engine paired with computer vision sensors that maps air pollution dynamics in real-time across factories, identifying toxic hotspots before workers inhale them. - Beyond particulate dust, Praan’s R&D team is engineering low-cost, scalable reactors for direct-air carbon capture targeting gigaton-scale CO2 removal. - All Praan products are manufactured in Maharashtra with locally sourced raw materials ensuring complete supply chain sovereignty and low carbon footprints during production. What started in a college dorm grew into a network of engineers and designers with experience building electric cars, rockets, drones, and semiconductors at companies like Tesla, Apple, SpaceX, and Microsoft. Supported and advised by industry leaders, including Harsh Mariwala (Marico Innovation Foundation) and advisors from Tesla's Autopilot AI team. Praan raised $1.85M+ across seed rounds led by Social Impact Capital, Avaana Capital, Better Capital, and Aera VC, alongside strategic capital from Kirloskar Family, Thyssenkrupp India, Brookfield, and Dhaval Shroff (Autopilot AI, Tesla). It already quintupled production capacity across its facilities in Maharashtra to meet exploding industrial and commercial demand. The multi million dollar real estate partnerships (including Superb Realty) deploying autonomous air infrastructure across 1M+ to 6M+ sq. ft. of commercial space is a real game changer. They are already exporting hardware globally across the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. Traditional appliance companies built expensive plastic purifiers that sell us recurring filter replacements forever. Praan assembled engineers from SpaceX, Tesla, and Apple to build a physics-driven, filterless hardware stack made right here in Maharashtra.

Lost my phone at the office and spent 30 minutes turning the place over. Find My was disabled by MDM. Out of ideas, I asked Claude how I could find it. It suggested tracking the Bluetooth signal strength, then wrote me a meter in about a minute. I walked around watching the number climb. Found it. Apparently you can just make the tool you need now.
