Highlighted by @notacompliment_'s new research, people who experience street harassment have little recourse for seeking justice, with interactions with the police often being limited to victim-blaming rhetoric followed by little additional support.

Today's Toowoomba protesters were catcalled, sworn at, and told to go home by tradesmen working along the route. The irony. #March4Justice

“The fact that we don’t all enjoy our time in public space equally, without fearing harassment, is unjust – and makes calls of us being ‘all in it together’ ring false.” #StopStreetHarassment

It's International Anti-#StreetHarassment Week. A pandemic doesn't mean that public gendered harassment has totally stopped. Raising awareness & envisioning the kind of future we want are still vital—we all deserve to be safe & free from harassment: stopstreetharassment.org/ #EndSH

It's true. We are always figuring out ways to lessen street harassment... This burden should not be on us, but rather the harasser.
Q6: Don’t we all? Plan the safest journeys home, remain alert to people around us, spend money on taxis rather than taking public transport, alert our friends to our routes, think about what we wear, worry when we are approached by strangers...
