A take I am not fan of: "Game should only focus on its main appeal" Like I'd understand this if the other elements took away from the core too much. But i feel like having elements that well integrates to give a varied as well as focused coherent package is even better.

Like overall it just gives a more complete experience and also adds on the pacing of the game. Doing the same shit back to back sounds tiring to me. A well paced game imo is the one that knows its core but also knows how to give downtime with its other elements.

If not necessarily downtime then integrates variety of elements properly that they feel like they give a overall coherent experience where you aren't too much into one thing and neither distracting through others.

Hopefully I have covered most of what I wanted. Overall a very solid game. 8/10 for first playthrough. I can see this going higher with consequent playthroughs and I am excited (and scared) for the higher difficulties.

another highlight to mention but I reallly liked that the game made chapters to utilise and focus more on the other side mechanics even they aren't the main focus like projectile wepaons and swimming. The projectile military section especially I really enjoyed.
