The sentiment is mocked pretty heavily by urbanist twitter, but Long Islanders (including many people in Brooklyn and Queens) *hate* congestion pricing and the dezoning attempts put forth by Hochul.

It’s a fair point. New York and Florida are basically the same, except for our 24/7 subway system, one of the nation’s largest public hospital systems, a higher minimum wage, stronger worker protections, universal 3-K, paid family leave, paid sick leave, and paid prenatal leave.
