I was really into the occult as a teenager… don’t make my fun of my username!
It is still cool, aesthetically speaking, but also kind of cringe.

20 months in prison for a social media post.
6 months for killing a teen with a machete.
The UK has gone mad.

The vast majority of archaeologists simply refuse to say anything against this wewuzzery, which is why it gets ever crazier, and ever more mainstream. They'll insist they oppose lies about the past when referring to Ancient Aliens or Atlantis but this stuff always gets a pass.
Nearly three years later, I had a chance to actually look in the book since it is now being sold in a museum in Devon!
Many lies in here. DNA shows "11% of people in Roman York were black" - there are literally NO confirmed black samples from Roman York! They just made that up!
Early European Farmers in Britain had "dark brown skin" - No.
The page depicting Tudor England is a joke!

Imagine you are a dental hygienist and live in Sweden..
You are employed to help “migrant children” with their dental issues.
As part of your job you examine the wisdom teeth development of the kids and you notice that 80% of those “kids” have fully formed wisdom teeth, implying they are not kids at all but adults older than the age of 18.
You tell the Swedish Migration Agency and they advise you to put it in writing.
When you send exact details, with examples of specific patients you are suspended, investigated and fired for disclosing private information relating to patients.
This happened to Bernt Herlitz in 2017.
When he appealed the unfair dismissal he ultimately lost and was fined about $50,000.
He and his family faced financial hardship and almost lost their home, until some generous benefactors raised money for him. Bernt remains unemployed today, despite staff shortages for dentists in his area in Gotland.
At the time, Sweden scoffed at the tests and claimed they were “discriminatory” but since then they have quietly brought in mass dental testing, for those whose age is in doubt, by the National Board of Forensic Medicine.
Bernt deserves a medal. Not vilification and unemployment.

Democracy in America is becoming a tiktok audition to see if you can convince an uneducated population on social media to make you famous and pay you to control far more serious peoples lives.

If you dig into people’s lives that have financial troubles you’ll find the cloud of chaos. A never ending vortex of interpersonal drama, of jobs lost (never their fault), cheating, low level criminality, substance abuse, injuries etc… if you grew up with these people you know the financial troubles are just another manifestation of their poor choices. If they tripped and fell into 7 figures they stand up in debt.
I think that’s why Caleb gets so much hate. It shows how much of this chaos is self caused. How much of it can’t be fixed with more money. This threatens a lot of assumptions about the root causes of things like criminal justice and welfare.

BREAKING - UK police are refusing to arrest a Nottingham iman after he called for Muslims in the UK and other white nations to take up arms in jihad to carry out preemptive strikes against white people and white nations.
Search and “rescue” applications, yeah, definitely
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

Important to remember, when viewing these videos of life looking better in the past, is that they are already of the decline
This is after the Great War, in the cultural degradation of Weimar. The Belle Époque and its glories were long dead and buried, and still life looked far, far better
Why? Because remnants of the old remained, and those who had lived in the world that once was fought desperately to retain what of it they could. They lost, largely, but are the reason that even life in the collapse of Berlin circa 1927 looks better than life in the present: at least they tried to dress well, despite it all, and act with dignity and decorum in public, despite it all. That's more than we can say, even in our age of abundance. And they didn't have Pakis, Turks, or Somalis in their midst

One thing I've noticed is that people are blind to infrastructure. In this image, you see a well-maintained road, even with pedestrian infrastructure, neatly clipped grass, a powerline, almost no trash etc. yet the person thinks it's Nigeria because the houses are shabby.

The "Conservative Bohemian" has a hard time finding a place to lay his head.
Doesn't really fit in bourgeois conservative circles, nor in Bass Pro America, nor in the crunchy lib enclaves.
Lib enclaves sometimes seem most appealing but very quickly you are remined exactly why you don't live there.
I've glorified poverty and dilapidation largely because I've always assumed I'd be poor forever regardless of what I did. I figured I might as well learn to get enthusiastic about poverty, dysfunction, and obscurity if it was inevitable.
Now that I've escaped it, I ask myself: "What the hell do I do now?"
What do I actually want?
After years of training myself to "want" a poor life on the distant (rural) margins, now that I no longer have to do that I have no idea what it is that I actually want. Always, I've let my blackpilled perspective on my own station interrupt my ability to want anything. If it wasn't ultra-cheap, I simply forced myself to not want it, period.
Now? I could realistically make it work almost anywhere with careful planning. Could get into all sorts of businesses, try anything, make any number of interesting or edifying gambles or ventures... this is solely because of careful, anxiety-inducing levels of fiscal caution and extreme frugality.
If you've ever wondered why it is that I seem "all over the place," it's this exact thing. It's this combined with becoming a father and realizing that the dilapidation and poverty I've forced myself to "want" isn't actually what I want to give my kids.

Replying to @cornu__copia
A lot of nominally anti-immigration people have a really bad mental model of the world, and they don't really understand on a visceral level what the population levels of India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines etc look like - there is a de facto *infinite* supply of these people and by simple entropic logic they will get *everywhere* in the absence of extremely strict controls at both ends.

Hard to swallow pill: If you’re not prepared to shoot these animals, you will forever be at their mercy.
They understand only power and violence. If you aren’t going to overmatch their violence, they will always have power.
Postmodern liberals want to believe we’ve outgrown such things. We absolutely have not, and never will.
A completely immorally surreal scene in Lyon: France 🇫🇷
A woman begs the rioters to put out the fire they set at the entrance to the building where children are trapped because the firefighters are blocked further down the street by barricades they erected. The protester tells her, "I don't give a damn, we're young, we want rights."

one other thought
a major issue for the right is the inability to turn out very large crowds, which is a core mode of demonstrating and therefore exercising power in crises
this weakness is partly organizational, partly demographic, and partly geographic
@bronzeagemantis is right about the strategic madness of having surrendered cities to the left

Leftist discourse is in many ways trapped in the pages of Das Kapital and Oliver Twist. Poverty is still imagined in Dickensian images of orphans begging for food, chimney sweeps stealing bread to feed a family of 14, and the urban poor crammed into crumbling, freezing tenements. The identity of the oppressed has shifted from economic (working class, middle class, etc.) towards race and gender, but the underlying oppressor–oppressed paradigm remains frozen in the aesthetic imagination of the 19-century English city.
