Pete Crow-Armstrong has faced 28 teams and 286 pitchers in 22 stadiums so far this season, which isn't over yet
Joe DiMaggio faced 7 teams and 321 pitchers in 9 stadiums in his entire (regular season) career, which spanned 13 seasons between 1936-1951.
It's a different sport.

Even the Russians are mocking Trump’s disaster of a parade. This one’s going to sting.🤣

This is a map of the shift to Trump in NYC.
The surge didn’t happen in places like the Upper West Side or Park Slope.
It happened in Washington Heights, the West Bronx, Flushing, Richmond Hill, Bensonhurst—working class communities of color. 1/2

If present trends continue, this Trump victory will swamp all the micro-explanations. Shapiro as VP wouldn't have changed this. Keeping Arab-Americans in Michigan wouldn't have changed this. It's all the big stuff -- defeat in Afghanistan, a porous border, inflation, and (yes, this really matters) Biden's refusal to acknowledge reality and step aside in time for Democrats to have a real primary.

Media: @gtconway3d to @JakeTapper on #SCOTUS declining to expedite the #Trump immunity claim: "I don't think it's a big win" for #DonaldTrump, "I don't think it's a big deal at all. I don't think it's going to affect the schedule that much, and it's likely it shows the weakness of Donald Trump's immunity claim -- and I say this as the only person who ever wrote a brief that won a #SupremeCourt immunity case against a president, nine-nothing."
#Tapper: "Against @BillClinton."
#Conway: "Yeah. #BillClinton-Paula Jones. We've got the DC Circuit, which has acted really, really fast in prior appeals. They've set this case down for argument on January 9. I would not be surprised if we saw a decision from them in a matter of days.
"If I were on that panel and I were the presiding judge, I'd be writing that opinion now. I just don't think there's anything to the claims Trump has been making. ... I think this case will be disposed in the intermediate appellate court by the middle of January, by the third week of January at the latest. And at that point, the stay will lift. They can immediately start proceeding toward a trial in the District Court."
#Tapper: "As soon as March?"
#Conway: "As soon as March. And what will happen is the onus will shift to Donald Trump and his lawyers to go to the Supreme Court and say, 'Stop this now.' So all of a sudden we'll see a reversal and Trump's going to say, 'You've got to move fast, you've got to move fast.'
"At that point, the Supreme Court could stay the case -- they could grant certiorari -- but they're going to hear the case pretty quickly, too. If they heard the case in February or March, they could still decide the case by April or May, or even June, and this case could still get tried in the summer.
"But there's another possibility I wouldn't discount: This case is so meritless that the Supreme Court could just decide, 'We're not going to hear it right now, we're going to deny cert.' The cases he relies on are civil cases and that just does not carry over to immunize a president from committing crimes against the very country he's sworn to uphold the laws of. ...
"He'll still get his chance to go the Supreme Court after he's convicted. Like every other criminal convicted in a United States District Court, he can have his arguments heard, immunity argument and any other, after he's convicted and sentenced."

Until now I hadn’t really known of this piece of the recent history, the Netanyahu governments’ de facto alliance with Hamas, intended to prevent a real Palestinian state and 2-state solution. This is the distinguished @haaretzcom journalist Gidi Weitz. haaretz.com/israel-news/2023…
Today’s NYT “sports” section: Two pages on Polynesian games, one on Australian women’s sports, one on a non-binary runner. No baseball, football, basketball, hockey, tennis, golf, even no soccer. They might avoid further embarrassment (and reader rage) by shutting it down NOW.
They must have spent the last five years making it America’s worst sports section so we wouldn’t miss it when they killed it. nytimes.com/2023/07/10/busin…
