hot take 101: alot of startups are building technology for a world that might not exist soon. almost all tech infrastructure to date has been built and optimised for humans. websites, apps, browsers, search engines and even smartphones. if you think about it, we first had computers, then the internet, then websites, search engines to index those websites, browsers to access them, apps to make everything easier and smartphones to make the internet accessible everywhere. the entire internet was built around one assumption: humans are the ones accessing information and interacting with software. but?? the internet is slowly becoming a place where ai agents access information, interact with services and execute tasks on behalf of humans. llms are becoming the new aggregators of information. instead of opening 10 tabs, navigating different websites and manually comparing information, we can simply ask chatgpt or claude and get an answer. personal agents(muse, instinct) take this even further. they book tickets, schedule meetings, shop, manage workflows and interact with software on our behalf. so what exactly is the point of the internet?? if you think about it from first principles, most websites are just interfaces built for humans to navigate information and execute actions. navigation bars, buttons, forms, dashboards and entire user flows exist because humans need a way to interact with software. but an ai agent doesn’t need a beautiful landing page. it doesn’t need to click through five menus to find a price. it doesn’t need to scroll through an entire website to book an appointment. and this shift goes much deeper than websites. smartphones themselves are designed around the assumption that humans need screens to interact with computers. we open apps, switch between them, read information, tap buttons and manually move information from one place to another. but if an agent can understand our intent, access our information and execute tasks across services, why do we need to interact with all these apps in the first place? imagine a world where you simply express what you want, and your personal agent figures out everything else. no opening apps. no navigating websites. no manually coordinating between different services. the interface becomes intent. the next generation of devices won’t look anything like smartphones. maybe they’ll be screenless wearables, smart glasses, rings, earbuds or devices we haven’t even imagined yet. the device becomes a way to communicate with your agent. the agent becomes the interface to everything else. of course, the internet itself doesn’t disappear. we’ll still need infrastructure for information, identity, payments, communication and transactions. but the way humans interact with that infrastructure will change fundamentally. we spent decades building technology that makes it easier for humans to operate computers. we might spend the next decade moving away from humanity has always moved towards efficiency!! tldr: internet and computers will be reimagined from first principles soon

i can smell the next commodity market is going to be wearables, this includes health trackers, personal assistant devices, smart rings, ai pins, glasses etc. the machinery is pretty simple and soon china is going to produce this hardware at a very minimal cost. if you look at most wearables, they involve almost similar hardware sets: ble, low power chips, sensors, batteries, microphones, bluetooth modules etc. soon almost any startup would be able to make these wearables, which means the so called hardware moat will disappear quickly in wearables, probably in the next 1-2 years. i think big players like apple and meta are most probably going to be the obvious winners in this race. devices like whoop might survive (or maybe get acquired) because they have years of proprietary health data that would be hard to replicate. most other wearable startups are probably going to become commoditized hardware businesses competing on price.

this is so true, if your motivation to travel is to escape the crisis of your life, its only going to make it worse escaping the reality doesn’t make the reality go away, better just face and fix your pathetic lives however i still feel travelling and meeting new people unlocks/stimulates different parts of your brain which in turn gives you a better framework/perspective to shape your life so its all about your intent
