The voting is done and no one is talking about their party's performance. Instead, they're analyzing the EFF's results.
That alone tells you how influential and important the EFF is to this country. When the media, the analysts, and even our opponents obsess over us, it means we set the agenda. We shape the debate. We are the standard, South Africa is nothing without the EFF.
Other parties can win seats and go quiet.

The current decline of ANC can be traced back to the Zuma presidency which slashed job creation by 50% and plunged us into an unemployment crisis.That administration went on to entrench austerity policies whilst destroying state capacity and institutions. Both of them did this.

Cause if you argue that denying Helen Zille the mayoral chains violates the substantive intent of our democracy, then you should argue the same for any party. Cause democratic principles must be consistent regardless of “personal feelings”. Am I wrong?
Why do you think maority white South Africans vote for parties ran by white people ?
There's a rural municipality with a community that is 100% black but parties like DA, FF+ and PA got seats in the council.
Now ask yourself if a party like ANC, EFF, PAC or MKP would get seats in a municipality that's in a 100% white or coloured community?
