This is a notable change. In addition, according to Nick here, "While that vote took place, the presidents also tabled a vote in whether to re-implement its intra-conference transfer policy."
NEW: SEC presidents voted to approve a uniform NIL and revenue-share contract that includes adjustable components, @PeteNakos confirms. on3.com/nil/news/sec-preside…

New uNILateral Decisions: @Joe_Nickell, @mwalsh88, and I discuss why the NCAA bylaws' exclusion of the Class of 2022 Transition Rule is such a big deal (albeit before Friday's two appeal decisions). I also discuss why I think the PCSA is unconstitutional. youtube.com/watch?v=1NIC9MG7…

Northwestern just created a year-round venue: concerts, holiday festivals, other sporting events, possibly championships. The whole design is a rev gen play, and #NIL & revenue sharing are shifting schools' focus toward revenue-generating assets.
Northwestern's field club at their new $875M stadium. It features a pub, access to the team during their tunnel entrance, and is right behind the end zone.

Great explanation here by @samcehrlich, and an important distinction 👇🏻
As eligibility disputes accelerate, courts are issuing more TROs — short‑term orders that act as placeholders — before moving to the real deciding factor: preliminary injunctions. @samcehrlich explains why “the injunction is the ballgame,” and how TROs buy time. Granting an injunction effectively determines an athlete’s season long before a case ever reaches trial. Watch this week’s episode of uNILateral Decisions on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. New episodes every Thursday.

Yep. I think Wisne will be a real test because they actually did offer quite a bit of expert market analysis, and the district court painstakingly explained why it was enough. We still haven't seen an appellate court articulate the floor of "This is what we're looking for" yet.
Excellent analysis from Sam here. The Ramirez court had even hinted in a footnote to its TRO opinion that it would rule for plaintiffs on the evidentiary issue, before the 9th Circuit essentially forced the opposite result with its Blythe opinion. This evidentiary hurdle looms large in the Wisne class action pending in the 10th Circuit. It would be surprising if the 10th disagreed with its sister circuits that a deep level of evidence is needed. But, the Wisne plaintiffs offered more substantial evidence than most of the other cases that failed on those grounds. The billion dollar question could be whether it is enough to satisfy the 10th. The district court’s opinion in the athletes’ favor spent a lot of time on this issue.

Revenue sharing agreements are still framed as licensing agreements with payment for use of an athlete’s #NIL, by the way
This Kirby Smart quote from a @NickSchultz_7 article on Georgia football’s London Humphreys is a good example of the types of incentive clauses many athletes have in their “rev share” and/or third party NIL contracts. The more you play, the more you get paid.
