I have said this repeatedly. The entire middle class owes whatever luxury living it enjoys today to the Chinese. Good luck buying Whirlpool ACs or Bosch washing machines. Just look at the "elite" iPhone currently made in China. Imagine it was manufactured in Florida.
This is just consumer goods. Move over to industrial inputs and factory machinery and the picture is worse. Who can afford to kit up a production line using all-Western tooling? Is Innoson set up with German equipment? Even the Dangote Refinery was a split between Western and Chinese sourcing, with the latter providing the bulk of heavy machinery and installations.
Africa would have been very poor if China had not risen and fought Imperialism and expelled the West from its territory and developed.
If China had been conquered we would have nothing here in Africa and no access to a lot of technology.
Your life in Africa is better than it is because China won.
Only the elites in our society would have owned home appliances like Televisions, washing machines, and refrigerators.
In the mid-90s and early 2000s when the Chinese had not ramped up exports to Africa you could clearly see this.
The United States and the collective West would have sold you a toothbrush for a hundred dollars and told you it is quality.
However, retarded Africans hate China and love the West because they were brainwashed to hate China who happen to be the very best friend of Africa.
