Twitter NG has a dismissive air when it comes to subjective experience.
I may say, "I have only dated once," and Twitter will tell me how it's impossible, and I'm probably lying.
It's the same thing with the current conversation on perception of pregnancy.
We find ways to flatten a personal experience, and beat it into the conventions around those experiences. Hence, no outliers are expected to exist on Twitter.

Referring to human beings as ‘Boriswave’
See the way they are describing actual human beings that were conceived and given birth to abeg.
Again,if you support Bad leaders back home, may God punish you immediately.

Are you a fucking idiot? Yes you are.
There is this guy in my church who came to me to ask for my number about two weeks ago because he needed me to get something done for him. I punched my number onto his phone and I asked him to call or text me so I can be able to get his number too. By the time I got home, I saw a WhatsApp message from a 234 number, and he said that was his number. I just ignored him. I didn't even reply and I'd never save that number into my contact list.
Dude has been in the UK for four years now and he is still giving his Nigerian number to people in the UK with him. Or is it because I'm a Nigerian like him that he was texting me with his 234 WhatsApp number? I know he would not do that if it was a Brit that he had exchanged a contact with. Except for my very close friends and family members, I don't entertain any 234 messages on my 447 line. Let 234 messages be directed to my 234 number, biko.

This speaker is giving the real context around that conversation. He is spot on. Both sides of the fight know exactly what they are doing 😄

My grandmother always said she must die before her husband because she doesn't want to go through the horror of widowhood and mourning Rites in my community. She later died before him
Her husband didn't go through any rites of mourning whatsoever.

The statistics show that UK cold has never killed anyone, so my bad for misinforming the public 😂

There's a much bigger issue being overlooked.
Have you seen the Maternal Mortality figures for Nigeria? HORRIBLE.
According to recent studies, Nigeria had the highest estimated maternal mortality ratio globally in 2023: 993 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births.

I'm trying to follow the TL debate re "pregnancy is a not death sentence", "pregnancy felt like a death sentence" and I can't help feeling that we're getting bogged down in semantics and loosing sight of relevant context.

Please all parties involved,help us.

One thing I've also learned is that discretion is underrated. I don't have to reply to every comment, win every argument, or weigh in on every topic.
Sometimes the wisest thing is to scroll on by and let people enjoy their little corner online.
