We will insist on good governance to change the fortunes of Lagos – Funso Doherty vanguardngr.com/2022/08/we-w…

Here's how the unnecessary taxation across multiple levels in Lagos affects its residents.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Multi layered struggles abound. In spite of the reforms, nothing has improved for most people and many more are worse off than before.
The issue is not whether Tinubu signed the Electricity Act, introduced bonds, established initiatives or announced plans. The issue is whether Nigerians are experiencing the results.
You promised Nigerians reliable electricity and an end to estimated billing. Yet millions of households and businesses continue to struggle with poor electricity supply, outrageous bills and the cost of alternative power.
Signing an Act is not the same as delivering electricity. Announcing projects is not the same as completing them. Raising bonds is not the same as fixing the power sector.
You cannot keep asking Nigerians to consider the context of a campaign promise while ignoring the reality of their daily lives. Nigerians need electricity, not another lengthy explanation of why they still don’t have it.
The question remains: Has Tinubu delivered on his promise?

Why not ask ordinary Nigerians?
AI isn’t the one struggling to buy tomatoes in the market.”

So…
As I submitted tonight on Arise TV…we will hold INEC accountable for the electoral process it has been resourced with taxpayers money…to implement.
Those who have failed in their duties need to be held to account and shown the door…our electoral process is not a place for diplomats of incompetence without consequence.
Las las…our votes must count!!!
INEC: There Is No Room For Incompetence In Managing Voter Systems — Ijeh
Once again, we are seeing a display of sheer incompetence in an area that directly affects the lives of Nigerians and leaves no room for error. On the eve of an election, we cannot be hearing that INEC staff were responsible for compromising the voter register without seeing any consequences. Why is the public the one having to draw attention to these issues? If you cannot manage something as critical as the voter system, you have no business being at INEC.
Justin Ijeh
Spokesperson, Obidient Movement
Pentathletes Assemble!!!
We are all in this together and we are all counting on everyone to come out and do what needs to be done. Encourage one another with these words… and take your immune boosting shot right here and keep it moving !
Comrades…Obidients & Kwankwasiyaa…assemble!!!✊🏾
I just want to say this…for emphasis…and as a vaccine for the movement…
The journey we are on is a long one. We have come a long way…but we still have father to go…
This is not a sprint.
It is not a marathon either…
It is more relatable to a Pentathlon…
What’s the difference?
It will take us through different terrain…we will need different individual and collective skills to navigate the path ahead…
Some skills will be needed for specific challenges….and less so when the scene shifts…
You may be needed at the front when your particular set of skills are most relevant and required…
As the terrain changes..you may find yourself at the middle of the pack…or at the back…
It is not a reflection of your value or relevance…it is a function of the mission and its requirement at the time.
Take your place and fulfill your role with excellence, humility and wisdom.
It is NEVER about you.
If you make it about you…the enemy is at the door to lead you where there be dragons…no let pride carry you go where you no know…
As we have all seen… in the event that a soldier falls on the frontlines …we will rally and make sure no one is left behind. This is a family that takes care of its own.
@Drmopaul has demonstrated it already…so have many others who support this mission for a New Nigeria.
If…and when it happens that anyone reappraises their person allegiance to the mission and chooses to depart from the fold…because it was NEVER about them, no one should feel some type of way. Wish them well, genuinely…and stay focused on the mission.
Do the needed housekeeping to close whatever gap is created, if any…and keep it pushing.
We have a country to rescue and rebuild.
Nothing else matters as much.
This is the way.

Lol, I just stopped by to educate you a little. First, a DJI Pocket 4 is a handheld camera, not a drone.
I requested a repair referral because it’s a relatively new gadget in this part of the world. Kindhearted Nigerians who support HE Peter Obi’s presidential ambition offered to replace it. The support wasn’t for me personally, but a gesture of goodwill towards the campaign.
One indicator of a candidate’s acceptance is the willingness of people to support without coercion or expectations of anything in return. That’s something you, your boss and the APC cannot boast of.
I’m where I’m treated with respect, dignity and love. I can’t say the same for you. I’d encourage you to join the brighter side of the divide, so you won’t be shouting “Akanbi” on a hot Thursday afternoon.
Esther, take a moment to look at yourself. After years of working with Peter Obi, you still have to come on X to solicit crowdfunding before you can afford a basic work tool like a drone.
Have you ever seen any of Peter Obi’s children come online to beg for financial assistance? Why do politicians' children enjoy comfort while young people who dedicate their lives working for them struggle to afford basic necessities?
Never make a politician your entire future. Build your own life!
Ladies and gentlemen, this right here is a FACT!
I lived in Federal Housing Estate 3-3 Onitsha growing up. When I say "He cleared out that place", He cleared it out.
And yes, it also presently houses some of the best estates in Onitsha. I would know. My parents live there!
ZERO LIES!!!!!!!
“Under my leadership, anybody who kidnaps our children and goes into the forest, we will go in there with them.
Go and ask what happened in Akpaka Forest when I was Governor of Anambra State, when it was being used to keep kidnap victims. I went to meet President Yar’Adua and said, ‘Mr President, there is a forest in my place. I want to demolish that forest, and I’m going to use air and land to make sure no animal comes out of that forest.’
Go to Onitsha today; the best estate we have in Onitsha is Akpaka Forest.
No forest in Imo will anybody use for kidnapping again. We will be very decisive.
Under Kwankwaso and me, we will declare an emergency on corruption. The greatest problem of this country is people stealing public money. It cannot continue. Public money must be used for public good.
If you want to be a businessman, go and make money outside government, not in government.
People will say corruption will fight back. Give us the opportunity; we will bury corruption. It will not be allowed to fight back.
We must end corruption because that is what is destroying Nigeria.”
— Mr Peter Obi, CON (In Owerri, Imo State)

RE: SENATOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA’S REMARKS ON PETER OBI’S SINGLE-TERM COVENANT
We have reviewed Senator Rochas Okorocha’s comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
We accept his description of Peter Obi as “a fantastic gentleman; clear in his head.” On the claim that a single term is “a four-year gambling,” we respectfully disagree.
Section 135(2) of the 1999 Constitution provides that a President shall leave office after four years and may seek a further four years. In law, “may” is permissive, not mandatory. A single term is therefore constitutional. It is not a gamble.
Nigeria already tested an eight-year tenure between 2015 and 2023. The result was rising inflation, a weakened naira, soaring public debt, widespread poverty, and insecurity across the country. That is the real balance sheet of prolonged tenure without performance.
Peter Obi’s offer is a performance bond, not a gamble. He has pledged to serve one term, to be judged strictly by results, and to hand over power in 2031 in recognition that it is the turn of the North. This is sacrifice for national stability.
Leadership is measured by impact, not duration. Nigeria’s problem has never been insufficient time. It has been the repeated failure to use time well. Mr. Obi proposes to reverse that culture: one term dedicated entirely to delivery.
When a man entitled to eight years voluntarily chooses four and invites the nation to judge him by results, he is not gambling. He is sacrificing.
This is not a gamble. It is a rescue mission with a deadline.

Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim

Pillar 1 of Ọnà Tuntun: Health, Education and Opportunity.
These are our commitments with numbers behind them.
Truly free maternal and child healthcare; including the drugs, tests and surgeries.
Truly free public education; including books and exam fees. A daily meal and free transport for public school students. And 40 modern technical and vocational schools, so young people leave with skills, not just certificates.
We will double the Health and Education budget.
Because a Lagos that works for everyone starts with investing in the people.
That is the New Way.
