U.S. Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace has introduced the Third World Immigration Moratorium Act, a bill seeking to prohibit nationals of dozens of countries from entering the United States over concerns about deportation cooperation and the sharing of basic vetting information.
The legislation, H.R. 9710, targets 39 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia, including Ghana’s neighbouring countries Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Togo, as well as Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and others.
