The fascist imperialist will tell you he is guided by a thirst for resources or a divine right to dominate. The liberal imperialist will tell you that he is guided by the “rules-based international order”. Then both will bomb your family and take your wealth.
Reporter: But do you think that Mr. Trump goes too far when he says he is considering destroying Iran? Mark Carney: Well, there is a war underway, and he's speaking the language of war.

Feature request for @framer: Props for overrides. Making a new override for each value change is a huge hassle. The agent can now make overrides perfectly, but there is no easy way to adjust them for each use. I'll donate $500 to charity @StJude if you ship this.

People often laugh at leftists when they say that NATO is a vehicle for US imperialism. Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General: NATO is a vehicle for US imperialism.
NEW: 🇺🇸The head of NATO Mark Rutte "NATO is a platform for the United States to project power on the world stage."

JUST SO I UNDERSTAND THIS, BLOCKING THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS UNFAIR, BUT BLOCKING OIL SHIPMENTS TO CUBA IN ORDER TO COLLAPSE THEIR WHOLE COUNTRY, IS FAIR 🤔 DID I GET THAT RIGHT 🙄

Looks like someone in Washington just updated the travel schedule. "America First" has a way of becoming "Nigeria Next." Soon we'll probably start hearing urgent calls for "democratization," "protecting democratic values," and "supporting civil society".

some people are suffering from an extreme addiction to attention have seen it on here where someone's post blows up and the taste of attention ruins them they end up mechanically searching for anything they can say or do to try and experience it again they end up an empty husk with zero sense of self, pushed to extremes and entirely programmed by the algorithm it's even worse because you can monetize this addiction and make a career out of it and so much of what's wrong with the world is downstream from these people

I just need Chinese models to get to gpt-5.3-codex levels of performance and then I’m basically set for life. The release of 5.3-codex was my AGI moment and I told myself if we peaked here that I’d be completely fine with it.

Nigeria had no refinery at all. They had to export oil and then import oil products. The IMF has this colonial rule that it does not finance any African refinery larger than 400,000 barrels per day. The justification is “market fairness” and to avoid the domination of a country by one company. So, Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, got it financed and built by China and India. Now the IMF and the colonial oil companies are furious.
China built a $20 billion oil refinery in Nigeria, and Europe is furious. Nigeria, one of Africa's largest oil producers, had no refinery. For decades, it exported crude and imported gasoline at markup. China's Dangote Oil Refinery in Lagos changed that. Now Nigeria is exporting refined gasoline instead of just raw crude. The refinery is operating at 94% of its 650,000-barrel-per-day capacity, meeting domestic demand with surplus shipped abroad. In March, Nigeria exported approximately 44,000 barrels of gasoline per day. A single shipment of 317,000 barrels reached Mozambique—the first delivery to East Africa. Production is projected to reach 1.4 million barrels per day within three years, making it Africa's largest refinery. For decades, Western oil majors kept Nigeria dependent while extracting crude, refining it abroad, and selling it back at a premium. China built the infrastructure Europe refused to. Now Nigeria controls its own energy supply chain, and European refiners are losing a captive market. This is what economic sovereignty looks like. This shouldn’t surprise any of our subs, we covered this story back in November on DD Geopolitics.

Cancelled both my Claude Code Pro and ChatGPT Pro for this. Kimi K2.6 is just as good for my side projects as Opus or GPT 5.4 were. The price for this is crazy low, and there are a bunch of models I can try (like DeepSeek). Bonus: I'm moving away from building everything on Claude Code - now that both @opencode and @cursor_ai have their SDKs open, I feel I can rebuild the agentic workflows I built for Claude Code in a more platform-independent manner.
Update on Opencode Go It’s great value for $5/month, there’s really no reason not to do the first month. At $10/month it’s still good value and gets you access to all sota OS models. You can’t daily drive it without hitting limits on the big models but w/ Kimi x3 you won’t hit limits unless you’re insane. Overall highly recommend the first month, then make your own decision.

Hard to calculate exactly without an input/output split but I did the math and for 831,962,136 tokens, Anthropic Opus 4.7 would cost: - 100% input (floor, unrealistic): 831.96M × $5/M = $4,159.81 - 90/10 (typical for coding agents like opencode — most tokens are codebase context re-fed each turn): $3,743.83 + $2,079.91 = $5,823.74 - 80/20 (more conservative): $3,327.85 + $4,159.81 = $7,487.66 - 50/50 (worst plausible case): $2,079.90 + $10,399.53 = $12,479.43 So that $10.57 DeepSeek bill would probably become roughly $5,000–8,000 on Claude Opus 4.7. In other words, DeepSeek is 500–700× cheaper, for similar-ish capabilities. Now you start to understand why Anthropic is worried...
Is DeepSeek V4 Pro cheap? I consumed 831,962,136 tokens in under 2 days and paid $10 for it.

you used to spend a day messing with your neovim config, feel self conscious, then get back to work now people are spending weeks on some hyper customized coding agent workflow that definitely is worse than vanilla but they can talk about it like they're ahead of the game
