Pre-2022 the loan book to defence manufacturers was about 25%. When the full-scale invasion started Putin decreed these businesses get loans at reduced rates & they now make up 50% of the loan book.

Russia's banking sector now faces severity of crisis not seen since the 1990's, as the level of problem loans hits 12.9% of total outstanding corporate loans.
Worse yet, the increase from just a month earlier was +15%, going from 11.7 trillion to 13.3 trillion in only 30 days. This amount is now almost double the 7 trillion held for emergencies such as this.
As a measure to avoid declaring the unfolding catastrophe, recent changes to accounting methods has allowed it to remain hidden.

Right after the midterms I said on Breakfast Show (in Russian) that Moscow would try to squeeze concessions out of Trump before the new Congress sits in January. I also said the Kremlin sends Dmitriev to work on gullible Americans.
The next day Trump met Dmitriev at the White House. He did not meet the Ukrainian delegation. Then he announced a “big, beautiful agreement” that will cover “all of Europe.”

Le Pen has fallen into Zelensky’s trap. It would have been quite a coup for her to go to Kyiv as a kind of president-elect. Refusing the invitation again highlights her hardline Ukraine policy. And the contrast with her 2017 pilgrimage to Moscow could hardly be starker.
