Starting to think there's a few possible explanations here.
Either he's worried SpaceX won't hit its insane targets and wants everyone else to look worse, he realizes financing is now the biggest bottleneck and is trying to tank competitors' stocks to make raising capital even harder, or he's already secured the financing he needs and is pulling up the ladder behind him.
