I now have a pretty detailed spoken walkthrough up on YouTube on Battuta 8 for iPad, iPhone, Silicon Mac, a $9 AUv3 plugin based on the Moog DFAM. Gotta say, I really like this, it’s nasty in the best possible sense of the word!

This is a really great article from Chris Randall at Audio Damage pointing out, with typical eloquence, some of the issues that the tsunami of vibe coded plugins is causing.
3 minute read, worth your time if you buy or make music plugins:

Unemployed professional protester Josh Lees was disheartened today when only 27 people turned up to his Sydney rally.
The nervous looking Lees can see the writing on the wall. He may need to secure employment. The grift is up.
It's a long fall from grace, when Lees had the harbour bridge closed for one of his rallies.

The Spotniks: My Bonny (1963). Longtime readers know I'm fond of early Nordic space rock. Possibly no one else on X is. But I'm very pleased to introduce you today to The Spotniks, one of the first internationally successful Swedish rock groups.
Founded in 1958 they didn't become the Spotniks until 1961, and with their distinctive space suit outfits and pleasantly gnarly fret work they soon scored success in 1962 with their version of Orange Blossom Special.
But it's this '63 cover of My Bonny that makes me smile. Obviously riffing on the Beatles Hamburg era and The Shadows style of rock guitar they're clearly having fun and in the end that's what counts.
And before you ask, yes they were big in Japan...

ALT 10-panel SMBC comic update. All the panels are dialogue-less. Two researchers are writing equations on a chalkboard. A janitor watches them from afar. The researchers leave as the janitor is still mopping the floor. The janitor walks up to the chalkboard and writes on it with purpose, admires what he wrote, and leave late in the evening. The two researchers return at dawn, and are shocked by what is written on the blackboard. Over their half-erased equations, the text "ChatGPT, do a breakthru, no mistakes, thankx."

My latest article is about how a rogue Wikipedia editor confabulated and misattributed thousands of inventions and concepts to Muslims
This trolling made its way into blogs, articles, books, and TV programs. You might even believe some of his lies!

So, the BBC have decided that 11 of Mitchell & Webb’s sketches are no longer deemed “appropriate for modern day audiences”, despite the fact that ALL their material comes from an intelligent source base, that pokes fun at & ridicules the foolish, & ignorant. (Think Jonny Speight).
And people have the nerve to suggest that “we’d miss the BBC if it suddenly disappeared”…?
Not in its current incarnation, believe me…
A complete overhaul is what it needs & quick smart. That they cannot seem to grasp this basic fact, even after ALL their fatuous recent errors, remains remarkable & completely tone-deaf.

Virtue signalling substitutes applause for action. By turning conviction into costume, it cheapens the cause, alienates the unconvinced, and leaves the real work to those too busy doing it to pose for the cameras.
