Enthusiast of paper reactors, and nuclear reactors of all kinds. Shouts to Admiral Rickover

Nuclear power is the next big thing!
I mean, if someone tomorrow announced they had developed a way to generate large-scale carbon-free electricity in any weather conditions and almost any geography, many would declare it a civilization-saving technology. Even if the path to commercialization was unclear. And yet!

The MSR is the tastiest reactor xitter.cf/paperreactors/status/9…
THREAD: Introducing the Maple Syrup Reactor (MSR). Conceived by @sskutnik, the MSR has a soft spectrum due to the outstanding moderating properties of syrup. Check it out! 1/

Paper reactors Real reactors (NRC makes you bolt on some side mirrors for FOAK, some other sacrifices made due to early supply chain issues. But seriously who cares when you get that reactor online!!!)

We exclusively use OneNote for everything, much more streamlined
Working at startup is basically like “the eng team uses Github, product is transitioning from Notion to Confluence but some things are still in Google Docs, marketing likes a mix of Asana and Clickup, but make sure to keep Airtable updated. Do NOT use Evernote without approval

Happy to announce that we’ve made deals worth $47B (on paper) to bring our clean, maple syrup moderated technology to market. Exact terms and customers to be revealed at a later date (but as you can imagine, mostly in Canada). xitter.cf/paperreactors/status/9…

This is totally not an April Fool’s day tweet, please check the date before making such assumptions. We look forward to providing more details as soon as we can get our hands on a few hundred tons of deuterated maple syrup.

In celebration of the account's 5th anniversary, you must retweet the account's most famous Paper Reactor🤷 xitter.cf/paperreactors/status/9…

If you ever want to get your paper reactors out into the world as @realreactors you need to... read and write a lot of paper first. These 10 tweets can help get you started on the journey!
The nuclear regulatory system is a mystery but needn't be. I'm planning content on this, but starting on tweets! First- the regulations for energy are in title 10. While they're based on old reactors, much of regs are design agnostic. Many adv designs can/are using these regs.

Very nice of twitter to make me a paper "5" to celebrate paper reactors. Thank you Elon. Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I do! #MyTwitterAnniversary

Build nuclear. This isn’t hard!
A lot of focus on high oil and gas prices, but sky-high short-term electricity are a major problem for the European manufacturing sector. Energy-intensive companies will curtail output. Europe faces an oil and gas crisis, but also **an electricity crisis** bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Adm. Rickover wrote his "academic" vs "practical" reactors letter nearly 70 yrs ago, before the first commercial reactor. 18,000+ reactor years of civil nuclear experience later, and people still take the lesson from his letter that fission power is inherently impractical.

Interesting thread on how nuclear has self-actualized its own stagnation by teaching nuclear engineers early on that doing new things is hard & basically shouldn’t be pursued. Nuclear folks, let’s get out of our own way to do hard things to create a cleaner & more just world!
