Of Man's first disobedience, and the fruit of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste brought death into the world and all our woe, with loss of Eden, till one great Man restore us"

Wednesday is Trafalgar Day, when Nelson defeated tyranny. It started with a prayer.
‘May the great God, whom I worship, grant to my country and for the benefit of Europe in general, a great and glorious victory, and may no misconduct in anyone tarnish it; and may humanity after victory be the predominant feature in the British fleet. For myself individually, I commit my life to him that made me; and may His blessing alight on my endeavours for serving my country faithfully. To him I resign myself, and the just cause which is entrusted to me to defend. Amen.”

Remember who you are fighting for . . . their legacy, their great great grandchildren . . . who have a right to exist, and to thrive.

Cornwall and Wales are dotted over with hundreds of ancient holy wells and springs, many of them far older than Christianity in those isles. Now dedicated to local saints, some of them were in use in the Bronze Age, and were thought to hold healing and oracular powers.
This unassuming Englishmen landed his plane with 72 wounds. Hero's don't always fit our stereotypes. Courage is more in the mind than in the muscle.

A revisit to my all-time favourite church, today - St. Margaret of Antioch, Knotting, Bedfordshire.
It’s just a perfect little place and I love it ❤️

Christians agree or disagree on similar issues. You and I disagree on certain matters.Who is correct?Your reply is "will it please or offend God". Then will begin the battle of texts with one or another to know" the will of God". This is a secular mindset claiming the mind of God

This Aramaic hymn gives me chills every time I hear it.
"Tell me O Church, where shall I build you?"
It makes me think of The Church of The East missionaries that history has forgotten.
The men who took the Church as far as China & Japan with no backers.
There are even Church of The East heritage sites in places like Kharg Island & across the Persian Gulf.
Up until the 13th century when the Mongols began converting to Islam, The Church of The East was the largest missionary force in the world.
With no state backing (and in spite of persecutions), this Apostolic Church converted the many nations inside Persia, Central Asia, India & East Asia.
This hymn inspires us to think about what is possible today.
How can we leverage technology to bring our Apostolic faith to the world?
While teetering on extinction due to the exodus of its people from its Mesopotamian heartland, can The Church of The East be reborn anew?
Can its flock live up to the standard set by their ancestors to play a role in re-evangelizing the world?

Christians are saying grace, giving thanks to God or such meat at Sunday lunch. Wilful blindness.

Factory farming is so incredibly evil. An industry built on torture and a rejection of the bargain our ancestors made with the animals they domesticated. You shouldn’t just reject factory farmed food because it’s less nutritious. Reject it because it’s wrong.
A new study (Li et al., 2026) recommends giving chickens just 2 hours of darkness nightly to maximize the time they spend eating.
The study and photo are Chinese. But the idea is American: US chicken producers pioneered sleep restriction to keep their birds eating around the clock.
We know chickens have far better welfare with 7–8 hours of darkness to sleep. Their ancestors, the red junglefowl, naturally sleep 12 hours a night.
Today the US industry gives most birds just 4 hours of intermittent darkness. Will they now drop that to 2?
Don't count on them considering what the birds need.

THIS is what should be on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square if you ask me.
It was meant for a figure on a horse, so what better place is there to commemorate our greatest Monarch! 🇬🇧

Factory farming is maybe the greatest evil in the world today. I don’t think there’s anything closer to a pure “aesthetic of evil”—an archetype so hideously arresting it requires no explanation of why it’s wrong—than something like this “dairy farm” or pigs in “gestation crates.”

We owe these young British boys a debt of gratitude we can never repay.

The terrified faces of brave British soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend their country, kin and Christian culture.
Looking at Britain now could you look them in the eye and say we have done you proud?! I couldn’t.
Rest easy gentleman. ✝️

Alone in the house today. Such a different atmosphere to when it’s bustling with visitors (which is lovely in a different way).
There’s a real depth to the stillness this evening - a completeness - like a mind in a state of deep meditation.
