We are a country who treat politicians & those in power as demigods; how coolly this anchor called up the American president while being live on air & @realDonaldTrump not just came on the line but gave a full-fledged interview! #Amazing; Things to learn IndianMedia &Politicians

How much pollution have these knee-jerk measures actually removed, net of the pollution they’ve created?
Or are we simply mistaking visible action for effective action?

NOTE: The BMC pulls down actor @deespeak Dia Mirza’s eco-friendly Diwali video after protests by local BJP and Shiv Sena leaders, but retains similar videos featuring Ajinkya Rahane, Madhuri Dixit and Nishigandha Wad. So what exactly is the objection? A ‘no firecrackers’ Diwali message from the local authority, or Dia Mirza delivering it? Is religion becoming the criterion for deciding who can promote an eco-friendly Diwali? And what happened to the inclusive, cosmopolitan Mumbai we grew up and still take such pride in?

Please don’t play politics with our health . #airpollution has to be managed by both parties if you can’t , you are ALL responsible for our compromised lungs . And stop hiding behind rains and the weather to say we have cleaned up #Delhi air
#WATCH | Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa says, "I request Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia not to ruin Delhi. Delhi, which you spent 10 years ruining, is now beginning to recover—please do not ruin it again. More than 13,000 charging stations have been installed in Delhi. People in Delhi are purchasing EV (electric) vehicles. We, the people of Delhi, are fighting against pollution every single day. The people of Delhi are very good; please do not cause them any trouble. By setting fires in Punjab, you are once again causing the situation in Delhi to deteriorate."

This is now the biggest nuisance on busy #DelhiNCR streets & dangerous to boot.
These motorized "thelas" are without any number plate and ply merrily without having to meet traffic rules or the short sighted anti-#pollution curbs which are in effect.

🚨SHOCKING - FIR against Malabar:
A man walked into a Malabar Gold showroom in Bilaspur with a simple request: exchange his old 22-carat HUID-hallmarked bracelet.
The staff ran it through their XRF machine. Once. Twice. Three times.
Every reading came back the same: 20 carat.
They even told him the hallmark didn’t exist.
He called the local jeweller who had sold him the bracelet. The jeweller walked in, confirmed the HUID, and asked them to test it again.
Same machine. Same bracelet. Same room.
This time an employee adjusted something on the machine. Suddenly the reading flipped to 916 - pure 22 carat.
The jeweller recorded everything. The Sarafa Association arrived. Police registered an FIR against the showroom manager and the machine operator. The machine and DVR were seized.
This wasn’t a small local shop. This was Malabar Gold “the chain that advertises trust, purity, and BIS standards across India”.
One bracelet. Two readings. An 8% gap in gold value. And the only thing that changed was who was watching.
If a hallmarked piece can magically lose two carats the moment a customer wants to exchange it, and magically regain them the moment someone pushes back, what exactly is the machine testing?
Customers don’t walk into Malabar expecting a calibration error that only appears when they’re selling gold.
They walk in expecting the purity printed on their receipt.
The FIR is real.
The readings are on record.
The machine was seized.
Malabar still hasn’t explained why the same piece of gold needed a “setting” before it became 22 carat again.
Until they do, this isn’t a machine glitch.
It’s a business model.

Parents should be prosecuted for minor children involved in hit and run deaths like we see in Kerala and countless other egregious crimes- underage driving is not cool, mowing down people and fleeing is murderous even if you’re 17

Silver in Paris 🥈❤️
Of course, I wanted the gold. But there’s a part of me that’s just really happy to feel all those long days, difficult losses and endless hours of work finally beginning to mean something. I’ve missed this feeling more than I can explain. ❤️
An se Young , keep shining. You’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and it’s a privilege to share the court with you.
To my team, you know what it’s taken to get here. Thank you for never giving up on me, even on the days I struggled to believe in myself. We have so much more to chase 🫶
And Paris, what can I say? You’ve given me another reason to love you.
Je t’aime, Paris 🇫🇷❤️

MASSIVE BREAKING 🚨
CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have withdrawn their plea in the Delhi High Court.
Not because they lost.
The court asked their lawyer to consider filing an appeal instead of a writ, so they withdrew and the court said it has formed no opinion on the merits.
Now remember why they're even inside:
> They protested against SIR at Jantar Mantar
> They raised slogans against CEC Gyanesh Kumar
> Arrested on Oct 13
> 5 days of custody, then 2 more
> Fresh sureties submitted, and as per their counsel, the SEM didn't even call them
Think about it for a second.
No violence. No riot. Just a flag, a slogan and a question about voter lists.
And the system's answer is "peace bond violated, stay in jail."
Murderers walk out on bail.
Students who question the Election Commission spend Dussehra behind bars.
This is not about law and order.
It's about fear of questions.
The fight continues, only the route changes 🗿🔥

Hospital Chairman Dr. Ajay Swaroop completely busts the narrative.
Richa Parashar was admitted purely as a precaution for her pregnancy, and all tests/ultrasounds came back completely normal.
Looks like another classic case of trying to play the victim card for clout. 🙄

Also the reason I clarified about her pregnancy was because people were wondering why her employers sent her to such a big protest. They didn’t know.

Richa Parashar says Rahul Gandhi grabbed her shoulder and pulled her violently, says she fell flat.
I point out in the video she said she fell to her knees, and the sequence looks different.
She also says she only informed her channel she was pregnant after this incident.

Congratulations to every Indian athlete and to Team India on the Asian Games. A Games campaign is never just the few days we see on television. It is years of early mornings, injuries, doubts, missed occasions and countless hours of work. So first and foremost, enormous respect to our athletes and also to their families who live this journey with them and make sacrifices that are rarely seen. To the coaches, support staff, federations, SAI, the Government and everyone working behind the scenes, THANK YOU !
There have been some terrific breakthrough performances at these Games. Young athletes have announced themselves, others have stepped up to a new level and there have been moments that give us a lot to be excited about. There have also been disappointments. That is sport and every Games will have them. What matters now is how honestly we learn from them. High performance cannot only be about reacting when an athlete is close to a medal. We have to keep building systems that understand the athlete over several years. Systems that spot gaps early, use science and data intelligently, get coaching and competition planning right, manage training load and recovery, reduce preventable injuries and build athletes who are physically and mentally resilient when the pressure is greatest. Most importantly, the right expertise has to reach the athlete at the right stage of their career, not when it is already too late.
LA is less than two years away. In Olympic sport that is not a long time. The athletes who will stand on the podium there are already deep into their preparation today. So this is the moment to celebrate what went well, be honest about what did not and get back to work with urgency and purpose.
Congratulations again to our athletes and to everyone who stood behind them. Be proud of what has been achieved. Learn from these Games and keep moving forward.
Wishing Team India everything good on the road to LA.
