I love how, in the modern era of public discourse, your conclusion about any topic - whatever it is - not only invalidates your reasoning, but somehow makes you an aggressor to those whom came to a different conclusion.

The sun has set, and thus starts the dark night of the soul for the GOP. As a White dude in IT, the next decade isn’t looking too good.

I love watching Republican talking heads turn on each other when they lose. They are so out of touch with the average voter it’s insane.

Sorry, Republicans. Your elected representatives had two years and control of all three branches and did absolutely nothing to prevent this. Now people are turning to representatives who run on platforms that offer literal hate for large sections of their own constituents, and are winning. I’m embarrassed for you.

The election results are not surprising at all.

I'm no doomer, but I have only ever once in my life seen Republicans succeed in midterm elections under a Republican president. I have no reason to believe this time will be any different. Voiting Democraft feel like voting for decay. Voting Republican feels like hitting the pause button on said decay, but not fixing it. The GOP either simply squanders power, or uses it in unpopular places.

An animal, probably a mouse, died underneath the floor in my office and I have no idea how to find it. It smells so bad.

When Elder Millennials like myself hit their 80s, they are going to have some absolutely insane biographies. Our formative years were spent in Gen X’s back yard and our mid-life crises involve the beginnings of AI and the closing chapter of purely human excellence.

There's something deeply ironic about a website with "Archive" in it's name going down for a matter of weeks. It's like they didn't keep an...archive...of their setup.

This is gonna sound crazy, but I think the orbital sander has become my favorite kitchen-cleaning appliance.

I want a #Malfoid/Harry Auror story where he finds a kid that used Sectumsempra and suffers PTSD. Oh, the places this fanfic can go.

Last year I built a 3x9 ft kitchen table and finished it with an incalculable number of coats of polyurethane. Now it takes an orbital sander with a sponge pad to clean it properly.

My wife has Jury Duty today, and I get to manage the unfiltered chaos of all the kids. This is gonna be fun.

Hey @ShamashAran, do you mind if I specifically reference some of your fanfic plot points to try my hand at some of my own? I tried to message you, but your DMs are closed.

The weight of misery people like this carry as they go about their lives must be so, so heavy.

I know that one day I am going to sorely miss the noise, the random thumps and thuds that punctuate the waking hours, the constant questions, and the unceasing announcements of the most mundane and useless information you've ever heard. But right now it's so exhausting.

They get a glimpse of that precious ‘Star Trek future’ and show nothing but despair.

Malfoid has evolved into a new form: Competent Lockhart. Freaking yes.
"Here's the plan, Harry. You open the door, we go in, we retrieve Miss Malfoy, & we get out. If the Basilisk appears, remember, do not make eye contact & use Parseltongue to demand to know why it has aided in the abduction of a Pureblood student. Got it?" Competent Lockhart

This evening, while the older kids were out with mom and the youngest was asleep, the twins (4yo) were watching a movie while I installed a light fixture upstairs. All of a sudden I heard BLOODY MURDER SCREAMING; the kind of scream where someone is badly hurt. By the sound of it, one of the twins was hurt and the other was crying in sympathy. After rushing downstairs, I discovered that nobody was injured; they were watching Toy Story 3 and were near the end of the movie.

My makeshift sump pump has pumped out 2,347 gallons of water from my basement since the end of June this year! Crazy.
