I regularly pass the beautiful memorial wooden bench to your father in Trinity College. Your letter to Davis is a credit to you, your family and your late father. It was spot on what needed to be said.
Replying to @johnfinucane @GabeFin
It is mind boggling to think that even a Conservative MP would utter such dangerous talk in the mid 2020s. That it is someone of Davis’s stature is shocking. There is actually no hope for England at this stage. We need to get the rest of our country out from English rule.
Séamus Healy’s speech is particularly powerful. I resigned in March 2003 from @fiannafailparty over this precise issue of neutrality in relation to the use of Shannon by the US Army from the night of the Iraq War. rte.ie/news/2026/1020/159612…
Our train then terminated on Connolly 5, a through platform. Maynooth should have gone to 7, not 1, and we could have gone in parallel. There simply are not enough trains from the northern line to the city. Over an hour since I arrived at Malahide and only now at Pearse.
Replying to @IrishRail
@IrishRail I cannot understand how the 0937 Commuter Malahide to Connolly, not depending on the Loop Line, and with no Dart in front of it due to the delay on the 0930 from Malahide, has been repeatedly delayed from after Killester. It has the road to Connolly or should have.

Very noticeable preponderance of pro unionist articles and updates, one after another against the nationalist position of Garvaghy Road, in @IrishTimes live coverage updates today. They would want to smell the coffee and get onside or people will set up another newspaper.
Big cheer and call out in solidarity with the people of the Garvaghy Road from the impromptu rally at the GPO Dublin in support of Gavin Bazunu. Got a big cheer.
This is nothing more than supremacist coat trailing. I am, incidentally, descended from a Portadown Protestant great grandfather who went Republican in the 1860s and refused to join the OO. Had to leave town. His 3 children were active 1919-21. This will galvanise reunification.
I have taken a while to process the crazy decision of the parades commission in relation to Portadown today. 35 people and a banner have to do the awkward thing and carry their flipping banner down the road where they have zero welcome while everyone else goes the main road back.
No sign of any protesters from Aontú, from Independent Ireland, from Lowry’s lot, from the Healy-Raes or from the rag tag of far right parties and councillors. All Trump’s allies like Keogan & McGrath Anyone not on the anti Trump march need not bother mentioning fuel prices again
rte.ie/news/post/104992520 via @rte Our President did a superb job this morning. The photo is the crowning glory.
I will be at tomorrow’s anti Trump protest in Dublin. I will be keeping a list of who and what parties do not show up, or only show a token presence. Same surveillance of their social media output this weekend. Trump is the cause of high fuel prices. Let’s see who his friends are

Damn right! We’ve had enough!
🚨Take note @RhonddaBryant - a border poll is on our table every day. We are well past being fobbed off by British politicians with bland statements
🚨Nationalist & progressive people more generally are fed up with their views not being heard
🚨It’s 2026. Things have changed.
Trump visit a chance for fuel protesters to show consistency in their actions – The Irish Times. Exactly. We will be closely watching who does not protest against Trump, and they can forget getting our votes in future. Trump is the direct cause of this. irishtimes.com/opinion/lette…
I believe that Burnham’s statement today has precipitated a crisis. All pro unity parties in Ireland need to stand together on this. I believe that President Connolly urgently needs to make an address to Dáil Éireann reasserting the provisions of the Good Friday Agreement.
British PM Andy Burnham says border poll on united Ireland ‘off the table’ – The Irish Times. I am going to call this straight out now. Burnham, and Martin here, have in effect cancelled the basis of the Good Friday Agreement. This is beyond irresponsible. irishtimes.com/ireland/2026/…
